LAG in PVP(WARNING: PERSONAL OPINION INCLUDED)
I know i know, there's always THAT guy. And today, i am he. The person to complain about LAG. Due to not having dedicated servers, players around the world experience lag. Then, the rate of lag went up when bungie released crossplay. Im calling on bungie to fix this, because right now, Destiny's lag is worst than WarzonE, a side project of COD. And in each game in Warzone there is 150 people yet there is less lag than destiny.
Yes, now i will get responses like, "turn crossplay off". Unfortunately, if you do that, you can only play people who also have opted to turn crossplay off(less than 1%). This makes it impossible to play pvp because you cant match with anyone. So that option doesn't really count bc its not viable. Another response will be "there's not lag, its on you're end" and "I dont experience it". Sorry bud but the world doesnt JUST consist of you. There are other people in this world. And some experience this lag I am speaking of. BTW personally, i have good download and upload with good ping so for me, its definitely on their end.

I just think that when they added a new connection into the equation it made the overall connection worst. Instead of ps-ps(PS servers+Bungie servers) and xbox-xbox(xbox servers+bungie servers), its now ps-xbox(PS Servers+Bungie servers+Xbox servers).
My ideal solution would be to invest in dedicated servers. But for a temporary solution, i would say they should turn crossplay off for PVP(yeah, people are gonna pissed, i know). Again, the best solution would be dedicated servers so that eveyone can crossplay but idk, that might take time and money so thats why i said a temporary solution would be to separate PS/XBOX.

I agree with you 100% it is unbearable to play atm. Just blows my mind that Bungie does absolutely nothing to resolve it. Like well it is what it is,sucks to be you.

I never thought it would go worse, I was wrong. currently my melee will not register despite tracking&hitting motions with almosg 50% chance. Bullets will sometimes evaporize, or penetrate through the walls to kill me in cover. Oh, and don't forget that melee lunge is a top tier movement skill with their connections. This game honestly feels great, but server side eats up 60% of it's positive side away.

Distance to servers is a major issue as well as how many “hops” your packets have to take. Also, Bungie does have dedicated servers. All activities on Destiny are hosted by Bungie.

I havent been playing crucible at all this last few weeks and the whole season tbh, just playing for pinnacles and seasonal challenges, but i jumped on yesterday and today to finish some more challenges and its still the same crossplay playstation BS, ghost bullets, shot registration, getting insta killed ,,,, thankfully theres no reason this season for me to play crucible, but just delete crossplay from the game or have optional choices for challenges, where have to play crucible.

Why can't we see everyone's connection strength any more? And what happened to handing out warnings to players with poor connections? Seems like CBMM doesn't work and SBMM will only make it worse. Wish they made D3 on a new game engine and added dedicated servers instead of introducing the content vault and reskinning the hell out of everything and reselling D1 and vaulted content back to us.

It’s so frustrating knowing all these complaints fall on deaf ears. The game has been in such a horrible state for 6 months now. We truly got to enjoy the game for a couple months prior because before that there was rampant cheating and dos-ing. Unfortunately our favorite game is swirling around the toilet bowl as we speak.

This game was a huge eye opener for me

D2 is not a truly competitive game therefore will have these issues unfortunately
