In a lost sector with secant filaments. I was thrilled this exotic exists because I absolutely do not enjoy using poor weapons for overload stunning.
I shot the champion with a rocket while I had overload rounds active, the stun sound triggered and the champion still teleported and got its health back. Great.
I hid to wait and get my rift back again. I got it, shot the champion with my primary just to make sure he got stunned, and he never did. Full magazine, waited for the stupid indicator to cease.
Just forget this. I am absolutely done fighting champions. They’re not fun, they’re a brain dead challenge anyway, and I deleted the exotic boots because they just don’t work and I’m not going to wait around for Bungie to fix them.
These champions in particular have been a repeat issue for thousands and thousands of comments and posts and Bungie still has not delivered an improved experience here. I still want champions completely out of the game. Champions suck.
Edit: I just want to be clear. Overloads aren't difficult, they are frustrating because they break their own rules all the time. I'm not playing any content with Overloads in them.

It’s because there listening and planning to make all enimeirs in the game overloads your welcome
-
Ran a few gms last night and the overload guys are way worse than previous seasons. It feels like they lied about “working” on them.
-
Never will!

My issue with overloads are the inconsistent health Regen. It doesn't seem to be linked to teleporting like it should. They just randomly get all their health back, without warning. Bungie needs to adjust this and make their health Regen more predictable. They need to be more predictable and consistent like barriers are. They also need to provide us with better overload mods. As a side note for hunter, the tether mechanic needs to suppress their abilities, like it does the lightbearer super. A barrier champ shouldnt be able to pop it's bubble while it's tethered.
-
adapt improvise overcome. Its doable i believe in you man. There might be something you’re missing in relation to how you stun the champ as overloads are probably the easiest to miss indicators.
-
They are not going to either! it's there to stay! Ruining the game! The only thing that is fun as of now is Dares because you have a fighting chance and it's loads of fun to go on a killing-spree with unlimited heavy ammo!

4 RepliesEdited by Haters: 5/2/2022 7:52:54 PMOverload? You mean “I have to be void grenade mode double tap gally rush for lucent finish omg he’s healing I better reset and try again” champion?

3 RepliesChampions aren't in PvP so Bungie won't nerf them....
-
Your first mistake was expecting bungie to deliver on anything.

Edited by TheShadow: 5/3/2022 7:34:17 PMIt's interesting reading some of the replies of how "easy" they are to deal with. What you won't see from these same players is how many time they had to deal with champions being buggy. The post is not about what to use, it's about Bungie and their "words". It's so annoying how a lot of you just except the broken things in this game, that you don't even attempted to get Bungie to do their job that you literally pay them for. A lot of you literally only said to the OP was just accepted it, and you think that response is reasonable 🤦♂️ It's no wonder so many things are broken in this game that some are left to be untouched for months or even years.

Edited by Lord-Hyfixxa: 5/3/2022 9:55:32 PMI’ve been Soloing Master lost sectors and OSTEO STRIGA stuns and melts Overloads from a far you can thank me later. Also: there are these artifact things called “overload grenade” try them out they work wonders
-
Are fallen overloads healing tied to the teleport?
-
5 RepliesWell, try Osteo striga along with Overload greneades and a heavy. Its hardly and issue for me personally when I run Legend or master Lost sectors. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

14 RepliesLast time someone made an angry post about overloads I responded with “skill issue😘” and it made a lot of people butthurt because they couldn’t take a joke so I’ll make the same post here ✨skill issue😘✨

1 ReplyJust did the master caretaker challenge tonight.. I hate overloads. They never stun properly. Sometimes they are healing while they are stunned. Get them as low as possible go in for the finisher but the prompt never appears 🤣🤣 never doing that challenge again. I used witherhoard funnelweb & cataclysmic with overload smg & nades .. The worst part is it didn't even feel like an accomplishment I was just relieved it was over & dont have to do that again. Now I can put my head through a wall tomorrow or sometime this reset completing the exhibition encounter on master.

This and many other things ..
-
2 RepliesAnd you trusted them to actually change Overloads? This is D2 Bungie, not D1 Bungie. They don't care about the gaming experience for players at all.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Hyperion724: 5/1/2022 10:56:35 PMIf something is going on in the game that screws us over, Bungie couldn't care less. If something is going on that benefits us, Bungie fixes/nerfs/gets rid of it within a week.

Save your rockets and do not give up hope. You do not understand how to play lost sectors yet. Here is some advice… Weapons. Read the description before you enter the lost sector and choose appropriate weapons. For example, today the Bay of Downed Wishes has enemies with void shields. I used Last Perdition to take down the shields and stun the Unstoppable champion. Some useful perks are subsistence, fast reload, and tracking. AFTER you stun the champion and lower its health, THEN you shoot the rocket to kill him. Mods. You MUST create a build with appropriate mods. Your build does not require any stat to be 100, but higher the stat, the better your performance and survivability. I run a triple 100 (Resilience, Recovery, Discipline) on my Titan. Exotic armor is not required. Videos. There are many useful videos that show mods, weapons, and strategy. Watch them and learn from them. However, one major point is that many of these videos show the gamer using a bow. If you are not an accomplished bow user already, then this is not the time to try to become one. I do not use bows. They are unnecessary. Level. Legendary lost sectors are for rewards. Master lost sectors are for triumphs. There is no greater chance of a reward by running Master level. Some gamers incorrectly assume Master level has a greater chance of reward because they are confusing Nightfall with lost sectors. Master level not only has more enemies, but also has enemies with more intelligent AI. Time. Ignore the showoffs and speed runners. As long as you are able to complete the lost sector before darkness overcomes you, then you are managing your time appropriately. My runs are typically 11 minutes long. I have no problem obtaining exotics and other rewards with this run length. Deaths. Ideally, you should have no deaths. If you have one or two, it does not matter. I have gotten exotics even when I made an error and had one or two deaths. If you have 3 deaths, then exit the lost sector and start over because you are doing something incorrectly. Cover and Movement. Ideally, you should have learned in PvP that cover is essential to survivability. Shoot from behind cover and seek it whenever possible. Do not stay in one place too long. If you remain in the same area, eventually you will either get trapped, or a champion may seek refuge in an area where it is very difficult to take down. The above tips will help you become successful. Follow them carefully, and soon you too will earn rewards from lost sectors. Good luck.

Easiest way to fix overloads is to make their stunning more consistent and reduce their total health by some amount. I like the idea of a high aggression, high regen enemy but with high health too is a bit cancerous to fight against even if you can fight them off most of the time they just aren't really fun to engage with. Barriers only regen when their shields are up and unstoppables don't regen at all, so I think having overloads have less health than they do now but having high regen would be more balanced.

As someone who Gilded Conqueror this season and this week completed the Master Caretaker Challenge in Vow, they are ABSOLUTELY still buggy and broken. It's insane. Hopefully they are worked on more very soon and are *actually* fixed. Something about the interactions with Stasis, the "I'll still shoot you while I'm stunned lawls" stuff is too much. They are a little better - Overload Captains in particular - but still need work. PLEASE FIX THEM BUNGO!
-
3 RepliesSo many times I’ve just stopped running a sector out of frustration over Overloads. Bungie certainly needs to do something about them. It’s counterproductive to increasing playtime.
-
2 RepliesBro they're super easy to kill. This game is easy, not a true mmo. The legend lost sector today "bay of drowned wishes" is a cake walk. Stun overloads with funnelweb and grand overture kills them in 3-4 slugs. I've never had a overload stun and regain it health, you do realise if you shoot them with an overload weapon it stops health regen? Sounds like a skill issue.
-
I think only ones that don’t have issue is barrier. If enemy jumps or teleports at right moment then the stun is ignored and barriers have to sit still to use ability. Overloads are just the worst of champions and due to coming with a teleport spam it all but guarantees people will see their flaw. Divinity significantly reduces chance of it happening since its more consistent than other overload options but it can still happen even then since it boils down to enemy actions at instant stun happens.

I wish overloads made people quit the game
