Hey,
How many of you are having issues with HDR enabled?
I’m using a Xbox Series X and the colors are completely washed out. No tweaking to any in-game video settings corrects the issue. Unfortunately, turning off HDR via the Xbox settings is the only “fix” for now.

2 Repliesi´ll repost these findings from another user (SevenInchScrew) Witch Queen In-Game HUD Brightness Bug still occurring, even after 4.0.0.3 Even after today's update (4.0.0.3), the game is still exhibiting a brightness issue with HUD elements. I thought perhaps with the HDR issue getting looked at, twice now, this might get fixed. It did not. When you are in a live game space, the brightness of any HUD element is dimmed quite noticeably, but the second you open your inventory or the Director, it all brightens right up. This includes any player HUD elements, icons/nameplates for other players, patrol icons, Quest markers, etc. When you open your inventory, or open the Director, or are in a Vendor menu, all of those on-screen menu elements are the correct brightness. Being in Orbit is also correct. It's just when you are in an actual playable space where this happens. You can see this change happen in real-time if you receive an item. When the item shows up on the right side of the screen, you can see its icon visibly brighten when you open your inventory, and then dim again when going back to the live space. This doesn't happen when In orbit, nor does it happen when you are in a Vendor inventory screen. In these linked clips, pay attention to the icon for the weapon I'm sending over. In the clips where I'm in the in-game world, you will see the icon for the weapon get noticeably brighter the second the inventory or Director are opened..... Everything in those menus, especially with HDR, looks nice and bright and clear.... Due to the HUD area with our abilities/ammo/etc being so dim and hard to see, it can be a bit of an issue seeing them at times. Playing on an OLED TV, I previously turned down the HUD opacity in settings, to try and negate any burn-in as much as I could. Since Witch Queen launched, however, and the in-game HUD elements became so dim, I've had to turn that setting back up to "Full" just so my middle-aged eyes can see them well enough. Hopefully this can be fixed so I can see things again, while still trying to mitigate burn-in on my TV. I'm playing on a PS5 with HDR turned on, for reference. I'm unsure if this affects other consoles or settings. __ all of this is still accurate and i have the same problems on PS5 and Series X

1 ReplySame problem for me on PS5. The HUD elements are very dim and sometimes i can´t even see the buff timers and also the rest of colors look washed out and way to bright no matter what settings i try

2 RepliesPs5 HDR causes multiple screen resets on start up. Additionally multiple ongoing problems, players and weapons become invisible, weapons not shooting, sudden black screens during game play. I understand landlines may improve connectivity however the Ps5 is supposed to work with WiFi . Thinking of moving up to a Ps4 which offers much improved connectivity with only a minor drop graphically.

With you on that one sir, here on PS5 it's still the same issue 3 months later Luckily I have an LG C1 so the washed out colors aren't that apparent compared to LED TVs but still is kinda noticeable and annoying

1 ReplyYep. PS5 has the same issue. Have turned HDR off since WQ launched.

Have the same problems, no colours and overbrightned picture. Im starting to get irritated at bungie for not fixing this. For exemple this weeks nightfall is LIghtblade and everything overbright and no colours and its taking away a bit of the feeling playing the game when its so ugly. Pvp is also no colours and at the same time very high contrast that makes it hard to play. Sometimes i feel i want my money back for the dlc witch queen its no over 2 mount with this problem.
