Buff Cryosthesia 77k by add chill clip
Since it's last rework, cryosthesia's catalyst doesn't really do much and in the current sandbox it struggles to find it niche.
So by adding a modified version of chill clip it could become extremely good in the sandbox since it will be the only primary with this perk.
My thoughts are, rapidly landing 3 hits will proc chill clip. I could be wrong but I believe adaptive sidearms current take about 6 hits to kill. So you 1st 3 shots would apply an AOE slow, then you last 3 would kill but also proc chill clip. Vs guardians with overshields or with damage resistance (like in supers) you'd be able to freeze them.
In pve this would greatly increase cryosthesia add clear potential as well as build potential.

8 RepliesNo thanks. Cryosthesia is already really strong. Chill clip is great as it is and I’m looking forward to seeing it on other special and heavy weapons. Changing this just has “bad idea” written all over it to me.

I see making the gun have a toggle switch like Hard Light, Borealis, etc. would be a welcome change. I don't like reloading that darn gun.

3 RepliesThis is all kinds of wrong. Cryosthesia isn’t an adaptive, it’s a precision. Not to mention, adaptive sidearms kill in 4 hits.

2 RepliesNo, because they won't change chill clip and they won't solely change it for one weapon. It already has a modified version and is strong enough as is. Frozen adds would shatter with proper stasis builds so if you use the weapon right it's also fine for add clear.

7 Repliescryo is actually very strong. 40% damage buff to minors, AOE freezing and constant chaining. chill clip would would just do what it does now. shoot enemy, get kill , start freeze chaining....rinse repeat.
