Add a catalyst for Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo is actually a very useful weapon, and I've seen myself been using it more and more recently. I know it's an older weapon, so a catalyst for it isnt very likely, but we just got a some new catalyst this season for some other great older weapons, so maybe there is still hope. Maybe it can up the chances of you getting your melee back when you get a kill, or maybe its just a stat boost for the gun. Plus having it be able to be masterworked and having the icons match up in my inventory would be another added bonus. So please Bungie, add the Catalyst

    • Only give Monte Carlo a catalyst if it let's you Bayonet charge that's a 1hk if you have a fully charged melee in pvp.

So please Bungie, add the Catalyst[/quote] The catalyst would ad to the accessibility of the hidden mechanic for Monte Carlo: Original: "on a melee kill, activate markov chain x5 & restore the magazine" Catalyst: "on a melee kill or on a charged melee connection, activate markov chain x5 & restore the magazine" Monte Carlo is already really powerful, and every class has a projectile melee, so it doesn't need MORE power, it just needs an easier way to tap into it. Plus kill based abilities suck in high end content like GM's, you aren't gonna be killing things fast enough in one long combo for kill streaks to work.

          • Using an uncharged melee uses Monte Carlo. By hitting an enemy with this melee you gain a semi damage buff for Monte Carlos bullets called “One-Two Stab”. This buff grants bonus damage for the next 10 bullets of Monte Carlo and kills with those 10 bullets grant more melee energy.

          • Monte Carlo does everything well and is the best weapon for melee builds. A pure stat bump just makes it a liability in Crucible. Better off with a perk that is situational in pvp but common in pve for what the weapon is built for. Threat Detector would be ideal.

          • Yes, they should have cats for all exotics. To go along with that: i'd like them to add anti-barrier as the built in champion perk for mc. The rate of fire would allow it to work, and make gameplay more interesting instead of it being overload.

            • I'd be fine if the catalyst just buffed recoil direction and stability. Maybe also increased lunge range for base melee attacks.

            • This weapon doesn't need any boost and especially since orbs can be generated using the generic mod. If any Auto rifle deserved a buff it would be the Suros. Its catylst should heal on every kill. IMO

                The effect is cool, but the performance is bad. It needs to have a range, and aim assist buff just to be on the same level as a legendary AR.

                  • A stat boost like range and stability would be nice. Maybe go above and beyond and grant it a new perk where getting melee kills instantly reloads the weapon and grants a boost to melee charge on hits. I doubt bungie will ever add the stabbing animations with this weapon so its better to just give it something that can already work without much hassle
