1 Reply.75*1.7=1.275 meters, this is the actual buff when you multiply it by a zoom factor of 17.

This is magnified by zoom factor while ads, so at 1.7-2.2x zoom of auto rifles it’s actually 1.3-1.5m, which is pretty good. Puts them closer to base range of hand cannons. I will concede that it should have been more(hand cannons have 4m more range then autos, both having a 50 range stat) When you consider that autos will now have 10% more flinch resistance (with 100 stability, and who specs a hand cannon with high stability???)and better in air accuracy then hand cannons, and the zoom (range) of sub machine guns have been cut down by a meter or two, autos should be in a much better place.

2 RepliesAR’s need major help in pve. I have a couple of gnawing hungers that look like Tarzan and hit like Jane. My trials submacinje gun and funnel web run circles around it in both ttk, and range.

2 RepliesAnd the high impact rifles are still basically the shittier version of rapid fire scout rifles. Like -blam!-. Just remove the terrible accuracy and stability and let people use them like scouts. That's clearly what they're intended to be. The place where scout rifles and auto rifles meet. Hell. What if we had a perk that each kill stepped up fire rate slightly. It would only be good with something like subsistence because of how many bullets it takes to down something the perk would only really get you through maybe two things unless you have armor piercing active. In full honesty, all of the primary weapons are gods awful. I'd rather only have three clips of ammo but they actually feel like weapons instead of infinite nerf darts. There is a reason people only use bows and hand cannons, it's because they're the only two weapons that feel like you're actually doing damage.

2 RepliesI’d wait and see first. Like many here have said, it’s about 1.3-1.5m while ADS. Damage drop off for autos also isn’t very severe, it doesn’t just dead drop right after fall-off like handcannons so they’re better at dealing with enemies outside their range. They’re also one of the biggest benefactors of the flinch resistance changes and will have better than average in-air accuracy. SMGs getting their range pulled back will also go a long way. I’m not expecting Hardlight to be meta again, but the others will all likely have a place in the meta. Suros with its two strong fire modes, Sweet Buisness getting huge benefits from players being less mobile while shooting, Cerberus actively benefits from Shotguns being weaker. Idk. Just to reiterate, for all of the changes in the TWAB, they firmly fall under the “Ima going to need to test this first” umbrella.

8 RepliesThey want and need hand cannons to be the best option in the game. They will not allow other archetype’s to remove them from that spot. It has been this way for years. The sandbox team is kind of a joke. These nerfs they just did will actually make hand cannons stronger.

2 RepliesShould've buffed range by 10m across the board. increased damage by 6 for 720rpm, 5 for 600rpm, 4 for 450rpm, and 3 for 360rpm.

Because they tried buffing their body damage in the past and they would out gun 150 RPM Handcannons. If 150s were "too good" thus subsequently removed from the game(save sunshot), an AR buff would be bonkers.
