Please rethink reward structure for master raids.

Adept weapons for grandmaster nightfalls are fine. Adept weapons for raids where we can already craft the perfect roll is a complete waste of time. Adept weapons for master VoG werent even that enticing and most people ignored it (like myself). Why did you guys think doing the exact same thing, with people already having crafted versions of these weapons would be okay? I want to run master vow, but the reward needs to actually be... something. I'm not going to do something challenging for a big ole nothing burger. [b]Hell guys, you already had at the VERY least an idea for better loot in the form of artifice armor. That would have at least been something. But not even that!?!?[/b]

    They had so much feedback from Master VoG. - People wanted TImelost weapons to drop from encounters, and not just from completing the challenge. Bungie partially listened to this, by giving you a chance at a random adept weapon after an encounter in Master VoW, but it will be almost impossible to actually get the item you want since there's so many of them. Each encounter should have set drops. So they didn't actually listen. They gave people an impossible grind and called it a day. - People wanted the Age of Triumph armor ornaments in Master VoG. Bungie ignored this completely. They left the armor in Master VoW identical to the normal version. No artifice mods even. - People hated champions in master vog. It's artificial difficulty and it's lazy. Bungie added even more champions to master VoW It's alarming how much of a disconnect there is between Bungie and the players. We have all these enhanced perks and yet they didn't think it would be a good idea to put them on Adept Weapons? Plus, they didn't even change the look of the adept weapons. They changed the tiny red paint to blue. That's it? Where are the cosmetics for the Master Raid? How come there's no crazy shader dropping randomly from the final boss like Age of Triumph? Or a very unique ship dropping from the final boss like in D1? Raid glows? Armor ornaments? It's so barebones now and it's pathetic.

    • IMO it should be an ornament for master to put on the weapon you already have.

        I said this in another thread but I think Bungie will be moving away from Master Content sort of and will be reworking and shifting how to do Endgame. Obviously this will likely be the norm for awhile but the reworks seem to be in a certain direction. Trials rework brings in some D1 and PvP hype, Gambit rework means by this time next year they can consider keeping or scraping it. Iron Banner next seems like an obvious one since it’s a constant monthly thing. My point is that at some point I believe raids/dungeons/endgame will be given a look too and Master may still exist in the future it’ll just have some differences. (Likely champion changes and such). [b][u]I have no source just speculation.[/u][/b]

      • I mean... the activity in itself is hot trash. Just throwing champions at the screen and match game to restrict player loadout is a crock of lazy game design. It's bad design period. Not 'artificial difficulty' argument, everything is artificial. However, we should be using the "MEANINGFUL" difficulty. Engaging challenge, its why Fromsoft games are so popular, ENGAGING well designed difficulty. Anyways for gear, yeah adept weapons need a buff as well as the mods. There is no comparison between adept mod vs enhanced perk especially when those enhanced perks are getting buffs. Artifice armor? Eh, I think raid armor should be a different kind of better armor from hard mode than what artifice provide. Maybe, one extra energy so they can hold 11 mod power. That would be a good choice between 1 power and 1 extra seasonal mod slot.

        • Master completion should grant you a guaranteed piece of armor and adept weapon of your choice plus the raid specific exotic as well guaranteed

          Honestly the Master Vow adept weapons should've had an optional extra selectable origin trait that would directly benefit you against scorn/taken enemies in some way. Then the master armour should've had an intrinsic perk of allowing raid mods to be slotted in with no cost. Then allow the adepts to be craftable I guess.

          • The best part of crafting VoD weapons is that they also get the adept masterwork bonus stats if you hit level 20 with them.

          • Just saying time lost fatebringer and found verdict are competitors in pvp… maybe not enticing to you but they are worth the grind. As for VoD weapons I get the argument 100%

            • The real fun starts in two weeks for the Master Upended challenge. Definitely not going to be worth one Adept weapon.
