In total, there have been 15 non-exotic bows released historically. In the current sandbox, 4 are sunset, 1 is rare, 1 has been removed from season 16's world pool, 1 is from the archives, 3 are from Xur's random weekly weapon pool of 92 weapons, 2 are behind raids players scarcely play, 1 is locked behind beyond light, 1 behind witch queen, and 1 behind the current season, which in 34 days, can be assumed to be no longer available. This leaves people who are starting out with witch queen with no season pass access to only 8 bows, 5 of which are broken down into one 1 in 5 chance (1st encounter GoS), one 1 in 13 chance ( x4 encounters in LW), and three 1 in 92 chances (Xur's x5 weapons) for a given week. The remaining three available bows are Holles-IV, a rare precision frame, Fel Taradiddle, a random craft-able legendary lightweight frame that rotates in and out of the drop table, and Point of the Stag, a curated legendary precision frame from the exotic archive. This leaves only 2-ish practically available legendary bows for end game content. The disparity in bow diversity and availability is even further compounded with this season putting bows in the spotlight with anti-barrier arrows. Take last week's nightfall, for example, with dozens of cabal sporting solar shields in conjunction with barrier champions. If a player doesn't have access to Ticuu's Divination, then there is only [b][i][u]one singular[/u][/i][/b] solar bow in the entire game left for them to choose from (barring the sunset Hush) and that is the Tyranny of Heaven raid bow. Arc is covered by Point of the Stag, and if Xur miraculously sells it, Wolftone Draw, but still there is no world loot or even raid loot drops of arc bows since they got rid of Arsenic Bite this season. If you bought the season pass then you have access to Under Your Skin so your covered for void, but if you didn't, you are again stuck with no world loot or raid loot dropping void bows, only Xur and his randomly assorted weekly weapons. This of course can all be rectified by using the exotic bows with the correct polarity for that week but that just exaggerates the fact that in nightfalls where you encounter barrier champions, players who don't actively collect bows are probably going to have to use their exotic slot to use a bow to cover their bases. This leaves scarcely any legendary bow diversity that is practically available much less openly farmable so that you can hopefully get even a decently rolled one let alone try your hand at a god roll. I'm of course excluding the Fel Taradiddle from this statement due to the awesome implementation of craft-able and fully customizable weapons that puts a stop to the quagmire that is forever god roll farming. So please, for the health of the game, reinstate the old bows next season like no turning back, hush, subtle calamity, arsenic bite etc to give players more weapon variety and weapons to reliably farm/ craft for and use in end game content.
