Content missing after migration and leaving game for a few years
I am pretty sure i migrated over from battlenet to steam but neither steam nor D2 are showing i own anyhting. i also don't have access to my old characters. i just started playing a few days ago and thought my missing characters was just because of the vaulting process or due to extreme inactivity.
When i check my profile on the bungie website it shows i have a history as far back as 2019 as well as my original 2 characters. but when i check it from in game it only goes back the 2 days since i started back again.
Not sure if i stopped playing during the migration and forgot about it, or something has happened to my content in the interum, but some help getting to the bottom of it would be greatly appreciated please.

If you keep more than one Steam account, you will want to check each of them to see which is actually linked. You may simply be logging into the wrong account. As it is possible to have multiple Steam accounts on the same email address, it could also be that you made an error when linking your account originally, causing Steam to create a new account instead. If this occurred, and your browser saved that login info, that could be why you are able to login to Bungie profile where your old characters are now linked. You will need to login to the specific Steam account that your characters reside on, in order to access them in-game.

That means you are logging into a different account than the one linked to your profile that you migrated to.
