I’m finding the Vox Obscura Quest impossible to complete solo. Does anyone have any tips? I’m Lvl 1555 warlock but by the time I get to the final boss, I’m left with 5-6 minutes of gameplay and the waves of enemies make it impossible. Joining fireteams to help me won’t work because I keep getting rejected, I’ve tried countless times and am ready to give up

5 RepliesMe too. Gave up on it... Just like every other solo dungeon attempt I have made. Bungie doesn't seem to care about solo players. They make 'solo' content that makes you restart if you die once! Lol. Or they expect you to have raid gear... I don't get it at all. From my perspective, its just profoundly bad design.

Shoot me a message if you would like a run through, I will be on tonight for a while, and would be happy to get you a clear and a new GL if you still need it.

LFG bro. It’ll make it tons easier. The mission is more fun with others as well.

Try using stasis turret, Arbalest, whatever primary for energy and a heavy linear with vorpal.
-
Are you talking about the master difficulty or regular because regular can be easily done solo.

1 ReplyIf you still need advice chief - I see you only have a warlock so run Void with devour to keep your health up. Ideally Contraverse hold for your exotic to get that cheeky grenade spam. If you have the mods you want well of tenacity ( void ), the grenade well mod, bountiful wells and elemental time dilation. If you have Lament, whack that on - I used this and it clears each phase of the bosses health in seconds ( and heals ). Whack on a rangey primary - like a scout or pulse ( or if you're comfortable a sniper ) for dealing with the central turrets quickly and funnelweb in your energy slot. These can be up to you and are entirely preference for me. Keep moving, and melee the 3 Psion's fast to force the next phase. I personally zip around the room and ignore any adds that aren't in my face only stopping to pop the turrets, then go ham with Lament. Remember - you get damage resistance whilst charging a grenade with Contraverse and can block for a long time with Lament. You should also have wells for days. Hope that helps, Like others have offered I'll help you if you need it, no trouble at all.

Edited by Joulevette12: 4/18/2022 5:13:55 AMI solo it and I'm not even that gd soloing dungeons "SHADOW NINJA" set up Class -Hunter Elemental -Void Kinetic - shotgun or GL Energy weapon - void hand cannon Heavy - Void sword ,Quick fang or Gjallarhorn (Mods) Heavy ammo finder Font of might Volatile Flow Reaping wellmaker (makes wells from a kill after dodge) Suppressive darkness Stay invisible you don't have to kill everything in the facility

Secant filaments, slova bomb, rocket launcher, 100 recovery, void special, Rat King. Learn the animation the boss uses before he sends out the purple containment field so that you don't rocket yourself. Oh, and take out turrets first between each wave. Good luck!

Edited by mxgreg: 4/18/2022 1:38:03 AMMy eyesight sucks these days, but I soloed it. I used a rocket launcher with lasting impression for most of the boss damage. I also ran a warlock with nova, but that's not a requirement. I mostly had to focus on the turrets that spawn after boss damage than anything coming after me. Keep moving. I also used the glave for close enemies. I used the charge with light / protective light to stay alive. Use some heavy to clear the rooms before quicker. The mission is annoying, but not possible. I would give you a hand, but I'm out in the woods with a slow internet connection right now.

Edited by dhamm26: 4/16/2022 10:57:08 PMWhich part are you getting hung up on? Ramming the smaller vehicles into the tanks one-shots them. If you can throw together a decent void build the boss room ads are pretty easy to maintain.

Good luck getting it done. I couldn’t manage to do the Dead Man’s Tale mission when it was available. Had to pick my first one up from Xur!

You came to the wrong place (Destiny forum) to ask for help on a Destiny game related issue. Don’t believe me? See below 😂😂😂

57 RepliesIf you cant finish the last boss in 4 minutes you are doing something wrong. Especially on a warlock....AKA the easy class.

1 ReplyIf you’re on console and it’s not letting you join it’s 1 of 4 things. 1.) Restart your console. Clear the cache and then try it again. Sometimes the consoles mess up and you need to fully restart the console to join fireteams or receive invites. I know it’s dumb but you’d be surprised how many times this fixes things. 2.) Check your NAT type for your Wifi. If it’s set to moderate, you can still play a lot of the game but everything else will fail (playlist activities, joining fireteams, etc). Do a full restart and if that doesn’t work call your wifi provider. You should be able to check your type under your system’s Wi-Fi settings. 3.) If you’re using a wired connection, unpug and try Wi-Fi. Your cord might be dead. I’ve melted a cord before having it bunched up behind my console. Not a fun thing, but it’s an easy check and fix. 4.) Maybe you’ve received a temporary ban from your console’s multiplayer functions. Check your email just in case. Not trying to insinuate anything, but people could’ve reported you using their consoles and have been issued a temporary ban from PSN. I know Xbox does multiplayer only bans. Hope this helps somewhat.

I saw that you made another run at it yesterday. How did it go, you get it done?
-
Run, run, run… kill required mobs, run, run, run to boss fight… Name of the game is only killing what’s needed to progress and blow by everything else. Main reason I hate missions like that.
-
Yeah! Wait for a couple of weeks and do your Pinnacles.

Look up the videos on YouTube, some of them have some great advice, otherwise Take in a really good ads clearing weapon, (Personally I use le monarque with volatile) Also take a good heavy with vorpal (I use threaded needle) or maybe sleeper for the boss damage The main focus is clearing the enemies in the rooms with the scions fast (don't kill each individual enemy, make sure you can kill them in groups) Then in the boss room stay on top of the turrets & collosus spawns, focus fire the boss and as last priority kill the ads in groups in this room too. Watch out for the bosses fireball attacks as the fight goes on & don't for get you can use the Psion shields for cover from enemy fire Hope that helps

Legend is easily done as a two man. I haven't tried master yet, my light isn't high enough yet.

I haven’t completed it yet either, we can team up if you still need completion

5 RepliesIf you cant finish the boss in six minutes with devour warlock then you are doing something wrong...
