(Reposting from Help forum) Playing Survival last night (4-7-22) against another team who were gratuitously teabagging - every death, multiple guardians run over to teabag. Postgame I block TWO of them, thinking surely a block would mean I would no longer be matched with them (I've since found out the 'block' is for comms only and doesn't affect matchmaking). So we go to orbit, get back in the queue, and the next game we are again matched with them both - the block symbol clearly visible in the match roster. Again, gratuitous teabagging - every death. Postgame match two, my clanmate sends them a gg message and says 'but the teabagging is not cool' and they reply it's because I am running the True Colors Pride emblem.
I understand Bungie practically invented teabagging with the Halo series, but the truth is things have changed in the last two decades, and pantomimed -blam!- assault wasn't funny or cool then or now. AT MINIMUM, players should be able to avoid those who engage in this crass behavior. Part of creating 'worlds that inspire friendship' needs to be creating worlds where players can avoid the relentless toxicity that pollutes this community. Blocking abusive comms is a start but it is most definitely NOT enough.

You're too soft for the internet.

Don’t know what’s funnier, the fact you’re calling for a way to block players who are better than you, or that you called t bagging assault 🤣💀

Or i don't know you could Suck it up & stop crying like a Special little Snowflake or just stop playing PvP.

This is laughable how bad this post is. I almost died laughing from reading it

It’s a video game laugh it off you’ll be fine.

I’m not sure if this is serious or not but you comparing teabagging to -blam!- abuse pantomimed or otherwise is pretty disgusting… trivialises actual -blam!- abuse Grow up

1 ReplyThis can't be real. You compared crouching on a game to -blam!- assault, how pathetic are you? It's a tactic to get under your skin to make you even easier to kill than you already were. Clearly it worked as they killed and bagged you repeatedly. Grow up and get better.

This concept sounds good on paper, but in practice it would just be abused by people blocking anybody who is better than them in PvP. Also, as some of these comments are saying. You can't compare a virtual couching mechanic to real world assault. It's likely intended to provoke an emotional response from you, however getting upset about something you perceive only affects you. If you're going to display your pride, you should at the very least be proud enough to defend it by working on having a tougher skin. Breaking down at every perceived slight in passing doesn't help anybody, and only rewards those you want to avoid.

Sounds like you need to go to a safe space sweet cheeks. 🤣

Absolutely nothing wrong with the T-Bag considering bungie has emotes more toxic than that. What is childish is sending people messages after the fact crying about it. This is the exact reason I turn off my messages when I play pvp. If you emotionally can’t handle a online video game maybe online games are not for you.

If t-bagging upsets you, you shouldn’t be on the internet.

1 ReplyGet bagged on nerd lol
-
*tea bags thread* Yeah, what now?
-
Whatever groomer
-
Why would blocking keep you from matching? Lol so many people would block every good player they saw just to make sure they got no rematches
-
Tea bag me after I tea bag you, idgaf

I actually had a similar discussion the other day. I remember back on the Xbox 360, you could “dislike” players on Xbox Live and subsequently decrease the odds you played them in the future. I don’t know why this was taken away, but it should be brought back- at the very least in game
-
3 RepliesSee now all you've done is brought out all the little kids who support teabagging and bullying
-
Really over that much save time don’t type an essay about it log off play a battle royale game realise toxicity is much worse then come back
-
4 RepliesYou can't change the entire gaming community to stop t-bagging. You can work on not getting upset about it however.
-
You could also kill them and win the match ... there is that lol.

Bruh.....

14 RepliesEdited by Astrosa: 4/8/2022 7:25:14 PMOnly thing that’s change since the last two decades is people get offended easily I mean it’s crouching They can’t even take of their pantaloons Half the time they aren’t even standing on your body so it’s just a dude crouching in front of a ghost Who’s floating
They hit you with that dollar store intelligence debuff
