In my opinion, yes. TL;DR - I’m going to try to make the case for Mythoclast getting intrinsic anti-champion properties, preferably anti-barrier or overload because that would make it more usable in the raid in which it comes from, but I’d take unstoppable over nothing. Quick points are as follows, while the longer points are numbered below: Fusions see mods less frequently in the artifact than primaries, Mythoclast’s intrinsic perk could very easily accommodate an anti-champion description, it could be tied to the gun as a whole or the linear exclusively depending on the balancing, and it (anti-barrier or overload in specific) would make Mythoclast better in the raid that it comes from. 1 - By being a primary and a fusion rifle, Mythoclast is going to see applicable champion mods statistically less often because there is only one special weapon anti-champion mod per season, meaning the chance that fusions get a mod is remarkably lower than, say, other primary weapons. This puts Mythoclast out of the PvE meta for much longer compared to other exotic primaries, especially considering that Vex’s 40% damage buff to minors was universalized to all exotic primaries (and exotic trace rifles). 2 - Many exotics with intrinsic anti-champion properties have a blank slate intrinsic trait that grants the stunning capability and/or describes the gun’s nature and not a perk that one activates. Mythoclast would fit right in, as its intrinsic perk is straight-up “This weapon fires full auto.” One could very easily reword this to say “This weapon fires fully automatic anti-(insert anti-champion mod) solar bolts,” and no contradiction in the Mythoclast’s design would occur. 3 - If Mythoclast was too strong due to the former point, simply tie the anti-champion property to the linear mode exclusively so that the user must work towards the anti-champion property via mob clear. 4 - Granting Mythoclast specifically anti-barrier or overload rounds would make it a better option in Vault of Glass. Often times, raid exotics seem to be designed in such a way as to give them a leg up in their raid of origin, but Mythoclast doesn’t seem to fit that bill. This change would allow Mythoclast to stun the champion types present in the raid with no armor build commitment, and thus make it more usable in it’s raid of origin than it is now. Thanks for reading. Upvote if you agree and want this to have even a chance of being read by someone who can make a change.
