New Lights need to learn the game, they need gear, they need to build up their understanding of their classes. They cant do that if they get forced into seasonal/dlc content without warning or without knowing what it is. Almost all seasonal and dlc content activities they get forced into without prior warning when logging in is intended for players that are better prepared and better equipped. Remember what happened with Dares of Eternity? New Lights were getting forced into an activity with WAY higher level enemies than what they started as. They didnt know they could leave, didnt know they could go to orbit. They instead got forced to battle enemies of higher level, with no understanding of the game, their classes, their abilities, and no mods to deal with champions. New Lights continue to keep getting indirectly punished for being new players just because the game auto forces people on login into the new biggest thing added to the game. The game drives new players off because they essentially get thrown into the lion's den with nothing but fabric and a wood stick. If you want new players to stay in the game, they need to learn and build themselves up. Having new players tossed in the newest content on login that is meant for more experienced and prepared players is not a way to encourage people to enjoy the game. That causes more questions and frustraions on new players than it does help them learn and get better gear. Stop forcing players into the newest content. All new players need to go through New Light. All new players need to learn. Suggestion: New Characters start off in New Light no exception. New Characters that haven't completed New Light should be left out of any "forced matching" into newer content.
