I'm sure most of us agree that sidearms need a little love in this current pvp sandbox. There's really not much use for them unless you're running some niche build with surprise attack, or running an exotic. They still have a hard time competing even with a build centered around them. I thoroughly enjoy sidearms personally, I just feel forced to use a cliché shotgun, or fusion loadout to play competitively. I still do well with a sidearm but I think they need a damage buff in order to be more appealing to the d2 population. They could be the perfect fusion/shotgun counter for those that don't want to run them. I believe making them require 1 less bullet to kill on all 260, and 300 rpm archetypes would suffice. I'd even be happy if all sidearms had icarus intrinsically. It's just a thought, there might be other opinions, either way sidearms need some help.

2 RepliesI love my Sidearms! Adaptive, and 3-burst frames are fine but some changes could be made to others. (I am talking about PvE mind you, I couldn’t care less about the cesspool that is PvP). Lightweight: Accuracy/Bloom improvements Rapid Fire: Stability increase Precision: slight damage increase, preferably critical damage, to make them stand out more from adaptive frames Aggressive (2-burst): less recoil please... feels like an earthquake using these bloody things.
