Hello community! So the best expansion also kills off(in my opinion the best character)Cayde-6. Also it was so impactful that it made us speak! So I was wondering, could Cayde be brought back to life. Here’s my theory…
So my first point is that Banshee-44 has loved 44 lives and that’s why it is in his name, and he is also an Exo just like Cayde, so maybe him being reprogrammed somehow could bring him back to life.
The other thing is, is that our own character was dead for a long time until our ghost found us, which starts the story. Also ghosts choose whoever they want to be their guardian, like how our ghost chose us, or how Uldron Sov(Crow) was brought back to life because he was CHOSEN by a ghost. So maybe a ghost could choose Caydes remains and make him come back to life as a new version with remnants of Cayde-6, even though he’s Cayde-7. We know that he could not be the same person because of our own character and Crow.
My final point is that Cayde-7 could maybe become like his old self from maybe Cayde-6 notebook from his last life, maybe he could find it and also become like “6” and be part of the vanguard.
What do you guys think? Have a good day!

No, I don’t think he should come back either. Loved the character but bringing him back would be a money ploy.

The best place to hide something is in plain sight~

2 RepliesI don't think so. Bungie doesn't want to pay millions for Nathan Fillion.

Edited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 3/30/2022 3:11:29 AMCayde 7 wouldn't be the cayde we know. Cayde is dead. He was cut off from the light. Final death. If you read the lore you would let the man rest in peace.

Ask Nathan Fillion.
no
Time to give this and poor Cayde a rest. lol.

6 RepliesExos aren’t programmed to be someone. They use a digital clone of their brain patterns. They are that person. So that idea is impossible. Ghosts can’t choose just anyone. They are given either a set of criteria or someone specific. Reading a diary won’t bring back memories. Let him go. He’s dead. This is honestly getting creepy.

2 Replies1. Bungie has said repeatedly that Cayde is gone and will not be back. 2. Only ghosts can repair Exos. To bring Cayde back you would need a new body and a copy of his personality. 3. If bought back he would not be the Cayde we knew as he would have no memory from before he became a Exo. He would not be a Guardian as he would not have a ghost and so no powers.

Yes. Its a video game. But its all dependant on Nathan Fillions schedule, and how much he gets.

15 Replies1) Cayde-6 is Dead. He died His Final Death. 2) if Cayde were to Return it would be Cayde-1, as a Snapshot of his Brain is in the Ark. 3) there is 1 Occasion where a Guardian had 2 Ghost, but he was still alive. Still lightborn. Cayde is Dead, the light within him is gone. He's no longer Lightborn.

3 Repliesyes, it's possible because a human who becomes exo has a unique resonant frequency and can be revived by ghost if found. im not sure what the bray fam did to the bodies of the humans who were used to make exos; were they preserved? i suspect that they merely copied and pasted the resonant frequency from human to exo, as opposed to extracting and implanting. if the man who became cayde still exists, then he could spawn an entire army of exo caydes. sol would then become host to the game of clones lol

No, not without Vex technology but even then doing so would create a paradox, without Cayde's death the entire events of the Forsaken campaign, Riven, etc onwards wouldn't of happened (or happened the same way really)

Cayde stopped counting after 6. He'd have to be a completely different person to be ___-7.

2 RepliesEdited by Unbreakable Patches: 3/27/2022 9:32:39 PMNo. The number represents resets. It’s not the amount of times somethinf has been resurrected or something. And there have been no cases of a ghost choosing someone who died permanently who was a guardian in the past. So that’s probably not possible, considering how ghosts tend to work.

11 RepliesNo. Cayde is dead dead, not dead but way dead.

I never wanted this. YOU never wanted this. I made it real clear. To the Big Z. To lkora. Banshee. Amanda. My pal Jimmy down at the ramen spot.…that if anyone ever finds that Deep Stone Crypt thingy- I stop counting at six, no higher. Ya hear me? No. Higher. Think there's just something about the number 7 that gives me the heebie-jeebies-unlucky, overrated, I don't know, just a number with bad mojo in my book. So, if you've got a 7 in tow, or above, someone's changed the game. Someone's not playing nice. Might wanna do something about that. -Book: The Man They Call Cayde
