The other day I finally logged on again because my friend told me Zur was selling a really good Hawkmoon. I don't have Hawkmoon so I thought I'd check it out. Then I saw it says, "Requires Destiny 2: Beyond Light." So I couldn't purchase. Because I don't own Beyond Light. I don't know why it should be paywalled over a year later but whatever... I wasn't surprised. But then I noticed something. I decided to look at Dead Man's Tale and see what roll it had. I actually OWN several copies of Dead Man's Tale already. But still I noticed something that absolutely blew my mind. It said in red... "Requires Destiny 2: Beyond Light." UNBELIEVABLE. I literally ran that mission with a friend multiple times FOR FREE. Why in the world is Dead Man's Tale paywalled NOW? I was so annoyed that I decided to skip out on the bit of crucible I had planned to play and logged out immediately. Why are you doing this Bungie??? This kind of stuff is what led me to decide not to buy Beyond Light. I doubt I ever will. And I doubt I'll be buying Witch Queen either. Why should I when you pull stuff like this? I'm a mostly PvP player. I barely care about the story at all. And PvP just sits on the back burner forever and ever. Why should I give you my money Bungie? Especially when you don't appreciate or respect the money I've already spent. I bought the original game. I bought Curse of Osiris. I bought Warmind. I bought Forsaken. I bought Shadowkeep. I bought one of the seasons somewhere along the way as well. And half of that content I can't even play anymore. You don't respect me or care about what I've spent for you. At all. And now you won't even let me have a new copy of an exotic weapon I've already got? Gosh. I just don't understand. I don't. Edit: I'm on PS4 btw. 2nd Edit: Apparently this Wasn't a "free" mission??? It was a Season of the Chosen mission! And my friend had bought me that season... Sooooo... I guess my new complaint is... Why can't I get it anymore then still??? If I owned that season and that's what the weapon was tied too... It shouldn't be locked behind Beyond Light! Anyone that had access to the mission should still be able to get Dead Man's Tale whether they had Beyond Light or not. Ugh. Thanks to the people that pointed that out to me in the comments. I had literally forgotten. lol.
