Ive seen that alot of issues are happening for ps5 since the new update, but i play on ps4 and ive never encountered this issue and ive played d2 since launch. Just wondering if me being unable to connect to the psn on d2 is cause of the update? My internet is working well and the the psn status is working when i was trying to login and connects on other games. So i have no idea what i should do.

According to the official PSN site at https://status.playstation.com/ PSN is currently having issues affecting the ability to log in and launch games. ["Unable to connect to PlayStation Network. Please check your network connection and PlayStation Network status"] At the time of posting this, this is the current log-in message for me, even with a stable internet and PlayStation Network server connection; I'm on PS5 atm. I thought it was happening because of the latest system update being downloaded. It's still happening after it has been installed though. I also forgot that Destiny 2 did have an update applied today, as pointed out by OP above. Hopefully there has been more posts of this nature, so that Bungie can notice/look into this issue asap.
