Preservation glyph puzzle broken
Can't complete the sequence anymore, they don't work anymore. I melee the first 2 active the 2nd, and shoot the 3rd and them Melee first again, and it doesn't give me the progress for the ghost

April 16, 2022 - still not working solo.

After failing to do it in the mission I was able to do it in the raid. At least 4 people is needed. Read the sequence, everybody set in position, and it has to be done super fast, one aftert another in what I think is no more than one second. In theory 3 people could do it if the first can run to a close 4th symbol.

Dam it Bungie fix this please, I was just casually doing them solo each week. Now I’m stuck on 8 out of 10.

3 RepliesSame here. I don’t raid. Had no trouble last week getting three pages solo; don’t know why they decided to change this, unless it’s broken by accident. It’s hard enough just to frickin’ get to this room solo, just give me the goddam lore page.

Anyone from EU wanting to group up and try to get the lore in the raid in a bit ? just need 2 or 3 more. :P I already have a checkpoint at the correct place.

I joined a friend and he says "I cant do the puzzle". We try for like 20 mins, read guides and double check what we was doing. Found this thread, stop trying.

6 RepliesSame here. I've done it in the previous weeks no problem. Today none of the combos work (lore page doesn't trigger, I have 7 of 10). Seems bugged. Or maybe Bungie removed it from Preservation intentionally? Combos I tried: Melee, Activate, Melee (this one worked in previous weeks) Melee, Melee, Activate Melee, Melee, Activate, Shoot Melee, Melee, Shoot, Activate

7 RepliesJust run preservation and get the five pieces then repeat- it will give you ten total lore pieces when done this way. It's not hard at all by any means. Stop acting like this is game-breaking, and do it! PLUS, if you do it on two characters, you earn yourself two pinnacle drops. Y'all are making a mountain out of a molehill with this!

Congrats Bungie, you 'fixed' the lore book which was not an issue. Cannot get it to activate no matter how fast I am.

It's also broken for me. I tried every combo I could for 20 min and reset every time and nothing. I did this several times solo last couple of weeks and am at 9/10 on lore books and I just need this last one....-blam!- it

1 ReplyJust in case anybody else has the idea to see if the puzzle can be solo'd in the raid, if you're determined enough to get to the Acquisition room on your own... I tried. It seems to be broken in the raid as well. I also tried using fighting lion's remote detonation to do the "kill" command while punching one of the "enter" ones, to try to do them simultaneously, but that hasn't worked. As far as I can tell, fighting lion won't even affect the symbol. :( My hunter stasis melee wouldn't work to try to simultaneously do "enter" and kill either. I've never done the puzzle before, only found it this week after it apparently broke for those of us trying to solo it. Hopefully, since they left it in an activity with a max of three people, it's an unintentional effect of their patch, and we'll be able to solo it again soon. :)

They're not responding to this, but what they are responding to are things like a post by one person talking about a different ghost shell on different guardians. Seems to me they're more worried about their visual aspects than gameplay.

2 RepliesJust tried again in the raid. Multiple resets (going to first encounter and wiping). Multiple methods (left to right, right to left, 3rd then 2nd etc) Nothing has worked for me. I have a feeling this is either bugged or not achievable solo. Hope I’m wrong and someone figures it out.

I'm having the exact same issue, no matter how many times I complete the sequence, it just refuses to give me a lorebook entry. Did they break something this reset? Or did the hotfix to easily getting the lorebook entries end up breaking the puzzle entirely? Not sure why they needed to hotfix that at all to begin with, it's not like getting the lore or ghost shell will break the game anyway.
