The melee part of Glaives should ALSO be elemental and proc elemental perks

They should work with Singes and also have synergy with elemental perks. Example; let A void glaive like The Enigma work alongside Nezarec's Sin and proc Abyssal Extractors with its Melee

  • Yeeeaaahhhh so week one! I saw the perk pool for The Enigma. I was like, enhanced grave robber and enhanced rampage is gonna be broken and fun. Just mowing down things with my glave. Nope. Rampage doesn't work with the melee... I was like, "I'll unload my whole clip on a major and then finish them off with my melee and have grave robber proc as I get stacks of rampage" I was angry 😂😂

    • This would very likely be overpowered. Perhaps there could be a perk that upon kill with Glaive projectile, melee becomes the same element as the glaive.

      • I mean, if it had a charge and a cool down I could see it. It is pretty weird that you can't really use a melee build and benefit while using... A melee weapon.

        • That would be way too powerful. The only way i could see it being enabled but being balanced is if each melee strike consumed ammo. Which I think would be a horrible trade off.

        • Elemental effects need ammo use. Let's keep the glaives mele as it is.

          • They should work with subclass melees (frontal assault for example) and melee based exotics (not synthoceps and Liars handshake tho)

            • There really shouldn't be such a major delay between trigger and bumper interactions either.. It's very niche when it could be GREAT in close quarter (situational) combat.

            • Elemental - yes. Being able to break shields with the melee or use it with Nezarec’s sin and other elemental exotic armor would be great. Anything really beyond that gets a bit dangerous on a weapon that can be used w./o ammo

                  You know, I would love that, but than... Bungo would have to balance it again. Melee att of glaive is atm pretty strong, giving it also ability to work with class fragments and exotic armors would cause chaos making glaive melee top killer since you would have 100% uptime. They would have to lower melee dmg of glaive by half at least to allow what you propose. While I would like to have fun with buildcrafting around glaives, I definetly dont want to see what it would cause. I would lead to destruction of maby exotics and in the end glaives would be made into useless pokestick which deals similar damage as sidearm

                  Just get rid of the glaives altogether. They were advertised as the new core mechanic of this DLC, but all I see is just some spamming R1 around in pve and pvp to complete bounties. Glad for those who enjoy that. I personally am not impressed.

                  • It would break certain exotics with it again. The melee doesn’t get expended or use ammo, it’s always there.. if it we’re to proc melee based exotics, how broken would it be with wormgods caress or doom fangs? On a hunter with kepri sting or even liar’s handshake? Winters guile or karnstein’s? It’s a dream to have for sure. But it’s never ever going to happen! 😆

                        • Fun fact - the Glaive melee procs echo of exchange and echo of leeching on Void 3.0 classes. Couple this with Suppressing Glaive on an Invis Hunter running Stylish Executioner and the results are hilarious.
