We’ve had two major expansions that focus on the hive, yet no hive gear...
We’ve had cabal gear, fallen gear, vex gear, but no hive gear. Was it really so difficult to give us the armor that the lightbearing hive wear? It was literally right there. But nope, we get the Tusked Allegiance set...

We need more hive/taken exotics. We have nearly every weapon cabal use. We have 2 of the 5 that fallen use. I suppose vex are in a similar boat. Wouldn't mind a hive boomer heavy GL exotic or the taken legendary sword form D1, but returning as an exotic with cool perks.

Right? Taken king was all about the hive gear and it was amazing!

I bought shadowkeep thinking “the raid would definitely be hive themed” only to get garden of salvation. I bought witch queen thinking “surely it will be a hive themed raid this time. There no way it be fallen cabal or vex” only to get Vow of the Disciple and it’s ugly as hell armour. I guess I gotta wait until King’s fall and Crota’s end return because we ain’t getting any new Hive raid gear that’s for damn sure.

Taken gear would also be cool. We got Cabal, Vex and Fallen sets from ornaments in past seasons.

1 ReplyIf anything the Thorn Gear from Grasp of Aravice is the closest to "Hive Themed" gear we've had since King's Fall. You could argue the Season of the Hunt season pass ornaments were kind of Hive themed given the symbols and bones present on the armor sets but that's kind of a stretch.

Both WQ guns and weapons should’ve been like CE/TTK/Altar of Sorrows designs…. I could rant longer but whatever. At least it’s better than the BL and Shadowkeep armor ish…

They know they can’t make anything as good as the Crota or KF armor, which is why we won’t get old ib sets… bunch of hurt feelings at bungie

The irony that we pick up fallen enemies gear and using it after it obviously didn't work well for the dead.

To be fair, there is hive gear in the grasp of averice dungeon. Would be cool to have more though.

Season of the Hunt Warlock set (not the base set) seems pretty hive oriented. But I agree to an extent that we don't really have Hive armor. Witchqueen would have been a good opportunity. Actually it might still be if KingsFall came back. Also there are a few armor pieces that I guess can be considered Hive oriented like the Thorn set, but I kinda lean more towards Taken in my opinion. Also some exotics and I think one of the ever verse sets can be used to make a Hive armor set if your creative and got the money.

Butterfly regalia is the closest you will get to hive armor. GOA dungeon has that spikey hive armor look. Wait till the next expansion or 2 when we're holdings hands with the hive.
