I'm a big fan of the Void rework across all classes, I think it was well thought out and plays very well into each class' power fantasy while being new enough to feel refreshing. I felt like a large part of that was really seeing more of each class' personality come out though abilities: titan shield becoming barricade, void buddy, etc. It feels like im definitely playing whatever class I'm playing. Before, everything felt much more subtle and just... grape.
Solar and arc are coming up and while I'm sure the whole package is probably well under development - just wanted to state for the record that bringing out more of those personality traits unique to the class feels excellent. Where I'd want to see this more than anywhere else is Solar Warlock, specifically their neutral game / melee. Titans will surely lean into smacking things with a hammer, Hunter with knives, and theyll probably be pretty badass. Would love to see more of the Dawnblade sword in action to make it feel like I'm Dawnblade - not just floaty boy. Whether this means giving phoenix dive the Trappers Ambush treatment or whatever shape it takes, just consider giving solar warlock more than a limp smack. The new Void Warlock melee is a great example of not reducing our ability to another palm thrust + color flash. The idea of whipping out a fire sword and exploding something with it outside of the Super feels right.
Looking forward to whatever gets cooked up, but I think I'll be satisfied with anything that really leans into the identity of the class.
Welcome to hear other ideas on this. Solar Warlock as honestly way too much to squeeze into 3 Aspects so this'll be interesting.

1 ReplyI enjoy the top tree melee, its quick, its fast, it deals good damage. I get what you mean with the sword but unless that sword one shots, whats the point? It would be a slower animation than a regular melee with a small range compared to what we have now.
