Like for real. It's the first week after contest mode and the biggest D2 LFG discord on a friday night and during the day on saturday is completely dead. Almost as dead as the garden LFG was 2 years after it came out.
So what do the elitists say now? Mechanic heavy raids for the regular player are the way to go? I guess not. Never seen less interest in a raid in D2 anymore since year 1. Usually you can't copy the join code fast enough from LFG posts because of the post spam during the first 4-5 weeks of a new raid, this time theres like 1 post every 2 minutes LOL.
This one turned off soo many players with its constant time crunches, different specific roles, wipe mechanics on anything, 27 symbols with different callouts from every group.
This is just not the right community for raids like this. And i stand by that. Catering to content creators ruins this game.

1 ReplyI just don't understand why Bungue cant make an easy mods raid, the same raid, just with unlimited revives, less mechanics, simple mode. It can have open world loot. It would allow more players into it without being intimidated. Bungie spends a good amount of time and resources on the raids, and it's not played by most of the community from what I can gather. If the people who tried the easy mode were met with a splash screen at the end of easy mode that said something like, "you've conquered easy mode, now try normal mode for a challenge and some raid specific gear." I just don't understand why they haven't considered something like this. Me, I enjoy raids for the most part, haven't tried this one yet, but I'll get around to it.

4 RepliesI mean if you want easy mindless shooting and barebones mechanics maybe Vangaurd ops is more of your thing

1 ReplyIt’s the third encounter plus this raid you really can’t carry brain dead pve bots through the raid every one has to know to some degree what to do and what’s going on you can’t just vive in a corner and expect to finish the raid. This is how raids are going more and more to every one having a part and doing something other then mindlessly liking ads

46 RepliesI don't get how they went from Deepstone crypt to this unfun garbage. Catering to content creators nearly destroyed this game numerous times. Alot those content creators ask for things and then go back on what they said and absolutely hate things. The Raid is a huge miss this year.

1 ReplyNow hang on a minute. LFG is dead for the raid, yeah the posts are definitely not as high as VoG or Deep Stone which required 2-3 people for mechanics. We now have a raid where everyone must do something. Not even Garden had this feature. Before anyone cries that Garden had mechanics for everyone it did not. Play leap-frog and run into white good when I say Stand here, shoot things and Tether with me. Play gambit with 10 mote dunk Jump in portal, shoot things and then dunk Motes. Garden is gambit 6 man with extra steps. Vow of the Disciple. Is a story. We finally have a 6man activity that feels like a 6man activity. It's hard, difficult, frustrating, it's what a raid should be. There are default call outs for symbols. There are numerous images of these otherwise just ads in-game and it will appear. 2 of the 4 encounter have adclearing roles that still require prioritising which ads instead of mind numbing gears of war shoot thing ideations. You want an easy raid? Go do DSC. You want to raid, properly? Organise your team like the old days and have a set time to jump on for 4-6 hours. LFG'ing a raid was never supposed to be easy. Raids are meant to be mechanically challenging content for the most daring teams. I laugh at the thought of most D2 players engaging in a WoW raid because this would be their reaction "oh no mechanics!" Pah-leeeze. 33 RepliesRaids cater to minority of the community since their inception. In D1, I was clanned-up and did the raids. D2, changed all that. They are obtuse content and never approach the average player. I'd be happier if they reached a larger audience. They can't be just horde modes... but damn do they have to be so convoluted as to chase off the majority of the player base?

1 ReplyAre you tired of toxicity and the silly demands of LFG posts when a raid has just been released? If so, then’ submit a request to join ‘The Light Sabres’ private group on ‘the100.io’ website. You don’t need to join or leave your current clan, and you don’t need discord. Just post on the group page what day and time you would like to do a certain activity and wait for people to join up, then the post creator sends out invites to those people, around 10 minutes before the start time. This group has been formed so that like minded, relaxed people, who don’t mind mistakes happening and learning things together over time, and who don’t get frustrated and leave after a few attempts. You can make posts for group members to join end game activities like the Raid, GrandMaster Nightfalls and other 6 man activities at the higher difficulty levels that require some coordination. Be patient, this group is new so it may take a little time for it to fill up with players. The group is Playstation only, English speaking, and a headset is also required for communication. Be aware that group sizes on the 100 website are limited, so sign up to avoid being left out. If this all sounds like you, join us here: https://www.the100.io/g/38297?r=295382

1 ReplyL + Cope + Skill Issue + bad at the game

5 RepliesIt blows my mind that some people think that straight dps checks and ad clearing is all a raid should be. That would be a glorified seasonal activity. As it stands, this is one of if not the best raid created. It's got easy to understand mechanics (literally match the symbol), gorgeous environments, two unique boss encounters, and plenty of enemy density to always keep you in the combat flow.

5 RepliesI don't know which LFG you are referring to, but I cleared the raid with an LFG call yesterday for the first time, and planning on getting to know more of it then start doing the sherpa runs by myself. The Mechanics.. trust me when I say it, it's the most straightforward mechanic any Destiny raid ever had by far. Along with each encounter plus Rhulk Encounter is the easiest boss encounter one can learn and do without having to wipe even when you are doing it for the first time. No Destiny 2 never had any mechanic though to understand, rather the simplest one to start with. All it takes is how you understand it, and work with it. That's it.

I tried the new raid this weekend. It's not that bad. You need to be able to communicate with your team.

34 RepliesAnd this is the point where I come out and say once again, that raids just aren't for everyone. And that is OK. They just aren't designed for everyone, much like trials isn't for everyone, or gms. 90% of the game is made for everyone, let the hardcore have their little bit. It is ok to give a little, it really is. Raids are the one place we get those unique, complicated, and team focused mechanics that don't exist anywhere else in shooters or even most games at all, and those of us that actively play them, love them. You also have to take into consideration the loot in terms of play time. You mention garden being dead, there also wasn't any worth while loot to chase in garden other than div. People did their one run and left. I can tell most of us hate the armor in the new raid, the only weapon I've seen getting any buzz is the stasis fusion rifle. Perhaps people don't want to participate because there isn't anything worth it? How bout some more feedback on the mechanics. People say they are tired of reading pictures. What other mechanics can we do? Plates are old, balls are old, symbols are old, they attempted something new with garden and everyone hated it, and Deepstones mechanics were rather boring and really basic. So why don't we give them some ideas on what could work? I myself would love to do another relic focused raid. Just something to think about.

All I see on Xbox lfg is for the raid and on the app, I joined a few teams yesterday no problem aside from people refusing to adapt to certain mechanics and freak out over little things 🤦🏽♂️
-
I doubt it’s “dead” but I think a lot of people have teams or clans they run with and don’t use LFG. That might be part of it
-
Oh no...a raid has raid mechanics. The mechanics aren't even that hard...y'all are just scared. If my disfunctional group of idiots can get a clear...so can you.
-
Kind of funny that a LFG D2 Raid group beat the raid as well just several days after the contest-mode was announced! So i guess "No Know who" can beat this mechanic if they want to!
-
This raid exposes weak Guardians. Especially exhibition. You need to understand the mechanics and be able to think on your feet. That's why a certain segment of the community "hates" the raid.
-
3 RepliesUr entitled to ur opinion but mine is: Vow is one of the best raids bungie ever made. The lore, the fun mechanics, the environments, the skybox art…. All so well done

4 RepliesIt’s very good, the world just needs more people that know how to teach themselves

77 RepliesGreat raid, actually. Hope they continue making them this way.

1 ReplyDon’t know what you’re talking about, I for one have thoroughly enjoyed the new raid as do the majority of my clan mates, in spite of our day 1-2 experience regarding final boss.
-
LFG still going strong with this raid, i guess OP doens't know how to lie🤷🏻♂️

1 ReplyNever planning to do this raid even if it awards 5 pinnacles
