***NOTE Please Be Humble On This Post***
Zephyreros (Glacioclasm old PSN)
Today, I was given beyond...Saddened news that I can't comprehend to put into words.
One of my best friends has passed away today at 12:27pm AEST battling a rare liver condition in which he had a liver transplant and unfortunately his body wasn't responding well to it months later. We met through Destiny 1, played throughout the game cycle and throughout Destiny 2 for a total of 10+ years within Destiny 1/2. Accomplishing all sorts of achievements within the game together in the groups we played in.
It wasn't just him and I, there was quite a decent sized group of us spanning over the years, obtaining new recruits into the midst of our ranks of friendships. Ranging from regions; New Zealand, Australia, UK, America and other regions.
I wanted to make this post to show that we're not all gamers but one big family united when it comes to Destiny. Everyone has a love for the game, but most importantly it's how family's are built, friendships, relationships can happen and a lot of other things.
You just don't know what can happen around the corner, so keep those you care about close.
Your armor may be retired Guardian but your light will never be extinguished

1 ReplyI was in shock when I received the news this morning. Words seem fleeting when trying to express all the thoughts and emotions I have felt today trying to let this all sink in. He Gave me hope, with all the battles he was facing, he still made time for others. Was there to help, in game, or just to talk. He was one to push me to try harder, and follow through in completing challenges I faced, in game, and in life. I'm thankful and count myself lucky to have crossed paths with him. He will be missed, but never forgotten. May you find peace and rest my friend.

3 RepliesHow did you have 10+ years when D1 released in 2014
-
1 ReplyI know how you feel. In beginning much the same way as you, my fireteam was the best and we conquered all. However, one day, right before the release of the Pit of Heresy, my fellow Guardian and online friend for years passed away from a Heart Condition. He was barely in his 20s. So yes, I feel for your loss. I haven't been with a fireteam since then, just a SOLO player now. Rip, DHG Crimsonfang

My condolences I don’t know if you know this but there is a legacy tab you can view which will show when you and who you were with completed D1 activities. If he was there, could be a good way to reminisce.

Zephyreros will always be with you… He’s now a member of a higher order of Vanguard

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 3/10/2022 3:56:50 AMKeep him in your thoughts, your memories, your banter with folks that knew him Then he’s never gone… He can be the Ghost on your shoulder Saying “Idiot, why did you delete that gun?” Or Goose as your RIO “watch out, there’s a mug on your tail” in Crucible/Gambit RIP Guardian

Nobody is ever gone for real until the last person stops thinking about them. Next time you make an epic play it might just be your buddy saying he is always goona be around to help out.

My condolences, it's really tough losing someone, I know the pain of loss all too well. Hold on to the dear memories you shared, they can be soothing, even if bittersweet at times.

My deepest condolences. I too lost two good friends that i've met through Destiny 1/2. Filling the vacancies during Raids are very painful sometimes.
