The changes made to gambit have made it completely unenjoyable. I do appreciate the change to the heavy ammo - but the prime evil healing is so off that games take forever and become frustrating.
I just guess that's another part of the game I won't play until it's changed again - hopefully for the better.

Even with a big lead and on 2nd set of envoys I've seen other teams summon and 1 phase using Parasite and Ghorn. Atleast you can focus the engrams now.
-
It was unenjoyable before changes too
-
100% its either ghorn or eyes of tomorrow that kills you
-
1 Reply
I do appreciate the change to the heavy ammo
Yes, it is so great to die to either Eyes of Tomorrow or Ghorn all the time 😬
-
3 RepliesDisagree. Heavy Ammo is NOT the good change. Everyone shooting you with Gjallarhorn makes it so people with no skill or thumbs can still heal the primevil too much. Stop giving rockets guarenteed.

1 Reply-invades- Ghorn -invades- GHorn -invades- GHorn

Still better then the pointless game mode we had last season. And i still prefer the oldschool gambit with the tie breaker round, that was when it was by far the best... Not sure why bungie insists on fixing things that arent broken, it was better before both the changes..

2 RepliesI honestly didn't think it could get worse. I honestly hate that there is a pinnacle, that I have to get, stuck behind three rounds of this trash game mode. Invasions during the ridiculously over health gated boss fight are so much worse and a single kill seems to regenerate waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too much of the bosses health. Please just revert it back to the way it was so we can at least get this pinnacle done in a reasonable amount of time. How the hell did this even happen.
-
All they had to do was disable heavy weapons when you invade and most problems would have been fixed
-
Heavy makes it really awful. Invasions used heavy primarily, so removing heavy would have made invasions far more skill-based. Now it's just a heavy spam, nothing else.
-
9 RepliesIt's fine. They just need to change it so that you cannot carry heavy reserves. Only 1 mag or rocket can be held at a time. Keep the heavy spawn as is and it will help with ads and boss. The only thing that really impacts it in a negative way is a person invading with 3 or 4 rockets. It is not gallahorns fault, rather bungie giving it too much ammo to be used in a wrong way. No reserves means the rocket spawns will help your side with the ads and boss, but will not give u a crazy advantage while invading. If you invade, you will have one rocket and the rest u gotta put in regular pvp work to get the kills.

2 RepliesI actually enjoy gambit now Maybe, get gud?
-
I actually enjoy the changes. Bungie did a good job.
-
3 RepliesPrimevil damage immunity and invasion spam by the team that up to that point was losing means more often than not your team will lose. By doing well and being ahead, you are punished. Perfect Bungo logic.
-
6 RepliesThe changes they made are good on paper, but create an issue with Invaders using Heavy weapons. The fix, Invaders cannot use Heavy Weapons during their invade. You could re-enable the ability to see enemies and their Mote count while invading if that helps balance things out, that was never the issue.
-
4 RepliesGambit used to be a pure pve race. Now that it is a pvpve race like it was designed to be people complain. The same people complaining are the same ones dying on patrol missions.
-
2 RepliesI actually enjoy the changes.
-
Meh it’s fine. Not great, bout the same honestly. I like that the boss phase is an actual phase now and not a total dps wipe but at the same time… why does it feel like the prime evils health got super boosted and why did we make so much heavy ammo?
-
Agree gambit is a shitshow now just like crucible crucible was supposed to be fixed 2 seasons ago I played gambit twice this season and not going to step my foot there again it took more time to kill the boss than to collect motes it basically comes down to which team has more annoying invaders The entire fn game is based on annoying mechanics now instead of enjoyable more intelligent mechanics But what can you expect from seattle based company this is afterall the sjw capital
-
2 Repliesboss should never be immune envoys can stay where they are and rotate if heavy is going to be so prevalent then invaders shouldn't know where everyone is at all times
-
Yea it has problems, invasion kills heal too much and the primevil immunity phases seem inconsistent(?) +the usual lag. Also what is wrong with the gambit memento drop rate? 3 rank resets and haven't seen one drop??
-
1 ReplyThe heals are my biggest concern otherwise it's fun to have heavy in gambit
-
1 ReplyJust remove the damage gates after you break it the first time. Invader can still regenerate primeval health through kills to full just no damage gate.
-
2 Replies3 games for the pinnacle and out
-
I quit Gambit when shadowkeep dropped. Never been back lmao.

Edited by hate n payne: 3/8/2022 2:51:00 PMWish they would have vaulted Gambit and brought back The Reckoning that combined or included components of “The Prophecy” dungeon into it. Could have added all the weapons from Trials of the Nine, the old Reckoning and included the current Gambit weapons as rewards overall. Could have been on a daily or weekly rotation as far as the activities or content but the same gear drops via phases regardless of activity for that week.
