Acquiring mods - This REALLY needs to change in my opinion.

I find it unfortunate for returning and/or new players to have to rely on ada-1 rng for mods of previous seasons. Is there any other way to obtain mods I don’t know about? This is frustrating as there isn’t even new mods or anything, I have to rely mostly on old mods from years ago. I would love to try different builds and all but find myself limited by ada-1 rng and hoping she sells the ones that I want, so far, nearly 2 weeks of deception already since witch queen. Maybe mods as loot for certain activities would help or just plain and simply enable all mods for all players? There is no reason a new player should rely on rng for god knows how long for something like mods. Mods are not like the Vex or 1K voices they are a must for many activies. This game has changed a lot since I played before the witch queen. It is a lot more oriented towards and advantageous to use character builds if you want to complete endgame activies now. Without the proper mods, well… no build. So again, for returning and new players this is a big barrier being applied by having no other option than ada-1 selling 4 mods a day randomly. Like seriously, so who knows how many times she’s gonna sell auto rifle targeting or something else already acquired, before I finally get the ones I want? I have no problem with grinding, I love destiny, love grinding this game but relying on rng for buildcarfting should not be a thing, I think mods shouldn’t necessarily be made all free for everyone but at least provide a more reliable way of acquiring them. It’s getting discouraging, I wan’t to do builds and experience the game fully but I can’t, I have to wait and see if I’m lucky… which doesn’t happen often.

I'm not sure if it's still the case but when the new mod system came out, you could get most of the minor mods through vendor rewards. (Weapon targeting, dexterity, reloader, ect.) And you'd have to rely on Ada-1 for seasonal mods (mostly charged with light mods and elemental well mods) since the original way to earn those mods is gone. That could be still be the case, I'm not sure tho. Typically, you can find a group or two to take you through anything. Alternatively you can go on reddit or look for destiny based discord servers since I don't see these forums getting much attention.
