In addition to what GreatCyberwolf said, it sounds like you're trying to set up two cross saves with one set of linked account which can't be done. Your PS to PC cross save of fine, but you cannot cross save your Xbox to that same PS account. You could add your Xbox to the current cross save setup, which would allow you to use your PS characters on Xbox, bit for what it sounds like you want to do, you would need to create a whole new PS account, link it and your Xbox account to a new Bungie.net profile, and then set up cross save there with your Xbox as the primary account.

  • Thanks for responding. I have done both as I thought that too would solve my issue. The problem now is I can’t unlink my Xbox account from my first account. I really wish bungie would read these things. It’s unfortunate they’re relying on community members to solve problems for them. Currently I have a new bungie account and ps5 account waiting to receive my old Xbox account that can’t be unlinked from my main bungie account because I can’t deactivate cross play.

  • You can unlink your Xbox account from your Bungie profile, however it will require that you deactivate your current cross-save setup to do so. That requires dealing with the 90 day deactivation cooldown period, which means losing access to your PSN characters on Steam for the duration of the cooldown period, and potentially a silver purchase lockout first (if you’ve bought or redeemed silver recently). This is all part of using the cross-save feature, and the policies its use involves. Your Xbox account has not been active in D2 for over 4 years, so those characters would be in a similar state as brand new characters. Whatever gear you might have had for those characters, would be outdated and sunset from the game. So they would still be better off in blue dropped gear, than anything in their inventory. It may be worth considering simply having your partner start fresh, on their own account and desired platform. That way you avoid the extra hassles to use cross-save, and you are not mixing accounts from two different individuals, which could cause problems later on.
