My whole build was built around this, the melee, the suppression glaive. I was having fun in Destiny again. Doing patrols, the campaign, strikes, even gambit. It was so much fun.
Now, after trying to do the weekly ghost mission. I'm going to play a different game.
My level of disappointment is immeasurable...

They made a Glaive mistake.

4 RepliesNot going to lie, having that specifically taken away from people who aren't even interested in the raid just because it was making the game too much fun has robbed me of all interest in playing the game at all. If it doesn't come back largely identical to how it was before, I'm pretty much done. I walked away from destiny once. I decided to give them one more chance because some friends picked it up. If they're going to take something away from players because it was too much fun for clearing bottom tier enemies it makes it clear they aren't interested in making a good game. People have been waiting since vanilla destiny for there to be /actual builds/ in the game that you could build into. They accidentally created one and they're like "oops, can't give people what they want, they'll want more".

4 RepliesTo those saying it was broken, it really wasn't. It was a way to duck and wave through ads and suppress major targets but I was running this build and it's not like I got the most kills on my team consistently. The glaive invisibility build is overpowered in the same way sunshot is over powered or that warlock build with thorn is over powered. That is, it's not, when it really matters. It's just something to have fun with at middle level events

Immeasureable might be an overstatement for a video game... but when things get OP and too fun, you can count on Bungie to start nerfing.

Must be PvP’s fault! Laggy RAID servers? PvP’s Fault! 27 symbol callouts? Remove PvP! Fighting with Sticks in a Space Odyssey….

8 RepliesYou can live without it for 24 hours.
-
I understand it’s an inconvenience but you have to understand why they did it. It will be back soon enough.
-
6 RepliesSo you’re upset they disabled an unintended way to abuse the game? You’ll have a short Destiny career if this is the case.
-
6 RepliesIt was flat broken. Be honest with yourself. Why build heavily into something that is obviously abuseable?

2 RepliesEdited by mja calg: 3/5/2022 12:51:14 AMThat's what happens when the company has no clue what they are doing and also have no Q&A testing department to see how things work. It's pretty clear, given the magnitude of bugs, With Queen needs another 3 to 6 months of actual work before it's going to be playable.

So... 1st Raid is done. Can we have our mod back please?
-
7 Repliesleave it to bungie to make the game not fun
-
It sux! There are so many mods and even Void powers built around suppression. Just yanking it out is STOOPID! It makes me think that Bungie doesn't play test AT ALL! This seasons artifact is pretty lame as far as I can tell. The glaive champion mod is FIVE points. There is NO targeting mod or reload mod for that weapon at all. Plus they completely screwed up orb generation and made it stupid. It feels like crap anyone with a brain would have objected too if they spent like 10 minutes thinking about it.

Then the trash at bungie like no we have room take it away. It broke are raid, which means they don't play test

Happens every season with the artefact🤷🏼♂️

Watching the raid now i see now why they disable an nerf that titan helmet i do hate it but they did the right thing🤣
-
From what I saw and read the suppression glaive was disabled with a lot of exotics and other gear for the raid day 1. Sunday after 10 A.M. Pacific I think it is, those items are enabled again. Calm down people and give it that time to see how it pans out.

1 ReplyIt's such a gimmicky weapon anyway..... Used it on patrol, now its a vault dust gatherer....
-
As with swords, you could go invisible, then just keep swinging the glaive and you wouldn’t uncloak until the invisibility timer is up. Difference with suppressive glaive, is that you could keep swinging and as long as you kill something within that timer, it would reset, giving you effectively unlimited invisibility. Anyway you look at it, that is broken and that’s coming from a hunter main What they will probably do is make it so there is a delay of a second once the melee combo is finished, so if you melee again and don’t kill something, you uncloak.

I can't up level spear now as I don't want to waste a +1
-
3 RepliesI had a build to, knew it was coming because you could literally poke anything and suppress it. They can’t attack you. It was broken.
-
6 Repliesits just for the raid race, it will be enabled again
-
2 RepliesLol. It's a joke on hunters. No surprise they find want a build that's so powerful, yet laughably easy to use for a contest.

I feel your pain. I think they’re lying and only are pausing it until after worlds 1st or the first week reset for the raid. Hope it comes back tho, was a lot of fun to play with…. Something very rare nowadays for Destiny… :(

4 RepliesEnjoy a taste of how useful glaives will be once the seasonal mods go away lol
