Drop rates for wellspring
I know it’s supposed to be a grind, but 20 runs and not a single resonant element weapon drop is killing me. The activity isn’t exactly the most enjoyable thing in the game

helo iam having the same problem 0 prints, master or normal for the bow!! plise bungie fix the drop rate!! is that hard to fix it?

1 ReplyI must have some pretty insane luck, I ran it on normal and got 2 auto rifles and 2 grenade launchers yesterday and today with red borders in only a few hours at most.

31 RepliesWait until you get to the step where you need Come to Pass and Tarnation. Not just one, but *two* of both of them. I believe their drop rate (the one where you have to use them so you can craft them later) is lower than Other Half. I wish I was kidding.

Aztecross posted a video today. He got 1 resonant element autorifle and 1 ascendent alloy from 7 hours of Master Wellspring. I'm going play Horizon and Elden Ring. Bungie has turned up the grind with this expanse to insane levels; they have out-Bungied themselves. I enjoyed the campaign and it was worth the price but the end-game feels worse than a chore. Its just plain de-motivating.

19 RepliesTry running the Vanguard Prosperity mod on your ghost. With it equipped I was probably getting weapons to drop every other run…and getting the deep sight version to drop about every 7-10 runs.

1 ReplyThey really need to either make more of them drop throughout the encounter AND at the end, or make the drop be at the very least GUARANTEED to be a resonant drop when it does finally drop. Having this be RNG on top of RNG is just absolute garbage, most of the weapons aren't even worth using. Worse yet the material cap is 250, all of mine are capped at this point with nowhere to really spend it.

I have found that if you use weapons with wellspring they seem to drop more often.

Dude I have had a hidden mission in my quests since Tuesday because I can't get the weapons I need with deepsight to drop. It's totally ridiculous qnd just the way I want to spend my game time.... grinding wellspring for garbage

im sure this is on purpose but they will say it wasnt working right after they release the raid that way not everyone has exotic glaives for day 1 raid only streamers who live in there will have them.

If you don't claim the armour from Fynch then only weapons can drop. Reds are still rare and occasionally you get absolutely nothing.

This quest is an absolute joke. How is it possible to play an activity for several hours and not get any progress on it. It sucks. It is an absolute joke. And I like destiny. I don't like this.

2 RepliesYup this is complete BS. Quest locked behind an artificially increased grind for a weapon with a .0000000001% drop rate. It’s literally feeling like torture at this point and I’m just over it. Only thing to do is stop doing this horrible event and deal with getting bent over for the exotic quest that follows this one. Guess who’s not getting an exotic glaive? THIS GUY RIGHT HERE. Who tf comes up with these hairbrained ideas? Furthermore who in tf is the person saying “yeah, yeah, that’s a greaaaaaat idea. The fans are going to love it” and approving this utter tripe.

I'm running 6+ and seeing literally no weapon drop...
