The difference in health on enemies is very noticeable compared to fireteams, if you’ve gotten stuck in a fireteam on a mission go try solo you might have more luck.

Doing it on your own is snorting boring

I ran it solo Legend. Spend some time farming it. It was more frustrating than difficult. Frustrating because the removal of orbs from guns means I must sacrifice an ammo slot for orbs, which I won’t do. So I had to rearrange my armor mods to use wells instead. Because I had spend years masterworking my preferred weapons in each category: my god rolls x3, the orb change was not OK by me. However I did buy the WQ so I was going to try it on for size and fit. It it the right size but looks funny in the mirror so I’m unlikely to buy the next rework. Just can no longer give money to a company that thinks my time investment is unimportant! Suggestions: D2, I main Hunter. View my armor for specs and mods. Orpheus rig was for final phase of final boss fight. All else I used Graviton Forfeit. Invisibility is your friend if you are a Hunter, abuse it… Weapons were: eyasluna, vorpal Seventh Seraph AR, vorpal Cartesian and Null Composure fusion. Uzume for certain parts where I wanted to kill yellows before I killed trash mobs. Gjallarhorn for heavy. I also took each stage as a separate mission, not part of a story. So, I did each part as if it was the last part, taking my time to learn the mechanics and eventually in my final run, kill more and die less. I basically used the campaign to learn about void 3.0 and how my guns/armor work best. Last phase of the final boss fight: take your time and concentrate fire only on the 3 witches. Watch for exploders, but the rest can be avoided. They drop ammo, but so do the witches. When you think you can kill the boss, run and hide. Wait out that phase. She will OHK you right before she dies. Kill witches, get max heavy and super up then Suoer, Rocket, hide and rocket. Bungie design her AI very very well. Final suggestion: you will get frustrated. It is designed to frustrate. Take each defeat and learn. I found switching to my headset and setting the music to 1/10 and footsteps to 10/10 I could hear the enemy as if I had radar on. Like when I played PvP, aeons ago… The real difficulty is choosing between the final 2 exotics they reward. Do your research before you make your choice. Just run it solo legend. Take your time. The AI can sense overconfident Guardians and will get you. Enjoy and I hope I helped.

Solo is by far easier.

6 RepliesI definitely want to eventually try it with 3 people. It seemed like a lot of people from my clan that went in with 3 had a harder time. But they also tried to do legendary without doing normal first and sometimes with multiple people its not so much that its harder as much as the group just doesn't click. Either way I think they really did a good job of increasing legendary difficulty over the normal version and having it still feel like you're playing a campaign instead of an ultimate test of will where you can't really pay any attention to the story progression. Apparently there's going to be harder versions so pretty excited to see how those are going to turn out. The way they approached the campaign was basically perfect imo.

This, went in blind and solo, using the glaive made it easy as did the new void 3.0. changes.

2 RepliesYes I can confirm. Just beat Savathun solo on Legendary. Tried with 2 random ar first and it was horrible. I was able to two phase her solo.
-
1 ReplyOnly two of the missions were very difficult solo, and that's only because of the spawn points of enemies and how many times I whiffed my nova bomb lol. I think Bungie did a good job.

1 ReplyI hear its a nightmare on 3 stacks. I played the whole campaign solo and that was extremely difficult for me. As soon as I went to help out a friend who was still doing the legend campaign, we actually steamrolled. So my suggestion is get yourself just one buddy to help you out, don’t get a full stack because the health of enemies all become raid bosses and don’t play solo because wiping is inevitable and stressful

I did a bunch solo . Then jumped into a random 3 stack and it was considerably tougher. Played one with another friend and it was a breeze. It seemed really inconsistent to me.

2 RepliesYa 3 stacks is crazy, the health scaling almost feels broken, some bosses we’re out here barely tickling with rockets
-
28 Repliesdont think this take is right. yes the health is less but when you have a team you have way more advantages with synergising loadouts. also less chance of wiping. pretty sure its harder solo, even if the health is less.
-
Yea did my 1st play thought solo 2nd was with friends and some bosses were way harder ...some easier
-
1 ReplyCan confirm solo 10x easier then fireteam

1 ReplyEdited by Natdeguerre: 2/26/2022 10:34:57 PMThere is certainly a difference. The bullet sponge gets real when you have a full team lol. Although I did find it easier with 2 people on the ghosts mission’s big scorn boss, because you can split the aggro a bit and it seems to confuse the AI somewhat if they have two players to go after. Savathun in the final should have been renamed the -blam!-. I lost count on how many times I had to whittle down that heath-bar. Granted it’s a minor nitpick, overall the campaign was great.

3 RepliesYep, I solo'd it and the difference is noticeable. It's still not a cake walk but does allow alittle more breathing room. Normal mode however is ridiculous.. enemies just pass out in front of you.

Ive run most of it solo. When I tried it as a team of 2 and 3, it was way too difficult.
