As the tittle says, the new HDR settings reset the old ones we used to have and now it's very difficult or outright impossible in my case to get the HDR to look good
It looks washed out no matter what I do to it, it lacks saturation and richness, too much backlight and the darks are mediocre
Please fix this HDR problems and make them to how the were before

2 RepliesDoes your monitor/TV have auto-adjustments? Mine will adjust depending on background lighting, and depending on whether I watch a movie, or playing games.
-
1 ReplySame for me. No matter how I adjust the brightness it must looks washed out in bright areas and the dark areas have odd gray tones in them.
-
Agree, it's really bad in pvp

3 RepliesPS5 here. Lot of scenes are way to bright and washed out. The HUD is very dim and Lifebars and Damage Numbers are also very dim and washed out. HDR was looking great for me pre WQ but now it looks really dull and washed out overall.

1 ReplyLooks like it's washed out on PS5 and Sony A9OJ OLED..... The soon this fixed the better.......It should have never happened......testers must have been blind....
-
Yes, same issue here. It looks like the shadows in the tower are taken!

1 ReplyHi, go to the screen settings pd PS4/PS5 and change the RGB range to full, then in the TV settings find the options black point or black level and set to LOW. The game's white point is too high, so all the thorns and dark places are gray and overexposed

They are dreadful on pc, All destinations are washed out, The game is also playing havoc with my LG CX OLED hdr switching, When i access discord and desktop, tv still remains in hdr mode....It didn't before WQ, something has defo changed. Settings on tv remain the same, Not touched Nvidia control panel either, Latest WQ drivers installed.

9 RepliesHey atleast it’s better than what were experiencing over here on xbox one x. https://www.xbox.com/play/media/DUZDZ4QT

It's not even just HDR for me, it's SDR as well. Just the picture in general. The contrast/brightness levels from light sources are messed up. I've offset it for now by lowering the contrast massively.. The picture is very dim but at least it's playable.

3 RepliesPS4 Pro + OLED LG TV Completely washed and unplayable Essentially, I’m just not playing or buying the season pass till it’s fixed. There is a reason we invest in visual fidelity

Play with settings. The black mid point are too high on default 50, it makes blacks too bright, washed out. Change it to 20 and nits around 800 or more. And then experiment. They could increase the size of test pictures to full screen. Its small and drowned in black background seriously bungo !!!!!! How can u detect both the brightness in clouds and sun plus the blacks in cave on such small pictures in giant black background.

2 RepliesAnd they don't seem to be acknowledging it, no matter how many threads and videos
-
16 RepliesI don't seem to be experiencing the same issues. I have HDR on, and my game is beautiful, with no changes other than scenario. Must be ya'll TV settings - mine auto-adapts
-
3 RepliesIt’s going haywire. In moments of darkness on my XB1X it’s doing crazy things - vog was impossible in part just now. Shame I can’t share pics.

2 RepliesXB1X and Vizio M55-D0. Prior to WQ, no real issues with HDR. Now, same issues as many others have reported. I had to stop playing because the visual anomalies were giving me a headache and making me nauseous. Whatever changes were made for WQ have broken HDR on my setup. At this point, the game is unplayable for me. YMMV.
