PS4: errorcode MARMOT
Loaded into a gambit match, and before leaving orbit, was met with,
"Problem reading game content. File verification may be required.

marmot" , I am on PS4, i deleted and redownloaded the application from the PS app store. I reinstalled my system database, and allowed my system a hard reset. Application continues to verify files, and crash with MARMOT during file verification. Played Destiny since day 1, year 1, at base launch in 2014. Please don't post links 'helping' to other bungie forum replys. I have looked at 5 other marmot help posts, and nobody has a real solution for console so far. PC folder manipulations aren't available on this version of CONSOLE destiny. Thank you for your time, and your patience with me, in finding a solution.

The problem isn't my console though, it's kind of nuts theres been these marmot problems have gone on for so long, they even delayed Witch Queen. I'll keep repeating the same hard reset protocols, but the game doesn't load to my characters, it autocrashes. Unplayable.

Same here; I was mid game playing crucible, and soon as I started shooting the new exotic sub machine gun my screen froze. After being froze for 30 seconds I got the mermot error code. Now I’m here. When I closed and restarted destiny, I got the install screen which is attached below. I can’t play any other games while I wait because I’ll not only lose progress, but it will also not download while I’m not on this screen. Please help!!! Seems like it’s going to take a while to install. When I say “help” I mean please publicly acknowledge that this may be a problem if not fixed sooner rather than later. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾

Update: as of 02/26/2022; redownloaded again. Unplayable still. Please for the love of this game, I'll give up, fix the game. It's a console game for consoles. I kept my console, for the user friendly availability with this game specifically. I don't have any other game downloaded except Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. Fix this bug asap. Please.

Update: as of 02/25/2022; Another hard reset and database reinstall. Another factory reset hard clear. Another full redownload. Another MARMOT. Unplayable on PS4. Please HELP

2 RepliesUpdate: as of 02/24/2022; Completely wiped my entire hard drive. Factory reset my console. Cleaned and replaced hard drive. Had a full installation redone. Can load the witch queen launch menu, to press X, and before the "file verification - installing Destiny 2 screen can load to 37% file verification. i am MARTMOT again. This is my 4th redownload today, i have followed every single possible step to fix this. The game is unplayable. My other PS4 is having the exact same issue, I thought I could get away on another console. Took my other console to friend's house, thinking it might be the internet, nope. Unplayable on PS4
