[b]TLDR: Destiny 2 is unplayable on shadow settings higher than lowest on Radeon Adrenalin 21.5.2 and lower, and if your graphics card is not newer than the RX400 series there seems to be no fixing it yet.[/b] [b]UPDATE: Setting the shadow quality to lowest makes the game playable but some people are still experiencing random crashes [/b] I know that this has been posted several times across the help thread but I'm making this for people to get a clear understanding on why this issue is happening based on my anecdotal research so far. Destiny 2 seems to crash on code broccoli with graphics cards which are running an older version of AMD Adrenalin than 21.5.2. The problem is that for older AMD graphics cards before the RX400 series, since they discontinued driver support after 21.5.2 there seems to be no way to land on most of the planets. People who are encountering this issue seems to have success with landing on H.E.L.M and some even had success with Annex. This seems to be present with multiple people so it rules out the possibility of it being a local problem and I believe it to be a driver issue considering after the crash Adrenalin reports that the driver has timed out. People who have graphics cards from AMD which are newer should try updating their drivers from the [b] official AMD [/b] website. It's also worth it to report some people from even older cards like HD 7950 could load in but had crashes when speaking to certain NPCs(vendors mostly). Some people have had success with launching the game with settings to low and shadows set to very low. I will be editing this post as more news come out.
