The Parasite Quest vanishes and you cannot complete it
If you are doing the Parasite quest and get to the last step, where you have to do the mission, and join other players in the 2nd half of the mission where they already obtained the weapon, when the mission completes your quest just vanishes from your inventory and it cannot be completed, you are unable to obtain the gun. The hive casing is stuck in your inventory as well, so I dismantled that.

Attempted to run the mission with people doing it with the hive casing still in my inventory, but I didn't get the gun. I'm effectively stuck at this point until it is run on another character. For those that don't play multiple characters, this is a bad user experience.
Edit: I completed the campaign on a 2nd character, and you are not given the quest, so players are completely locked out from being able to obtain the gun.
Edit: It’s fixed!!! Log in and you’ll have your gun. Thanks for the fix!

I just beat the entire campaign with a fire team and when we are supposed to get the quest from Ikora to start getting parasite. The two other people got the quest but I didn’t. I have no way to get the gun, Ikora has nothing left to pick up. Is there anything I can do besides doing the campaign over again on a new character to try to get the quest to start?

2 RepliesI just played the mission twice solo and both times I didn't get the weapon. I hope this gets fixed and I don't have to run through it a third time.

1 ReplyYou can grab the quest again from the kiosk in the helm or the tower. I don’t know if this is a bug or intentional, but I ran it with a friend and only he got it. Then I had to run it a second time to get mine

After re-joining, the quest was completed, but I was not rewarded with the weapon. Also the quest item in the heavy weapon slot is still present.

I weaseled during the quest and after rejoining and completing the quest with a friend I'm also unable to get the gun
