Since upgrading to witch queen today the HDR looks terrible - very washed out and lack of contrast. I’ve tweaked the HDR settings but looks no better. This is on PS5 with and LG CX OLED. It looked amazing before! Is there a problem?

I have a fix. Turn off HDR feature on your console. Boot destiny and log into a character. Set the brightness to 4 (default) exit destiny closing the app completely. Turn back on HDR feature on your console. Relaunch destiny. Fixed. Now looks as you would expect. I've had this HDR bug before with destiny but the other way around it being too dark and I remembered the fix from that. Works on Xbox too.

2 RepliesEdited by YeetBall: 2/24/2022 10:27:56 PMI had this issue (blacks were completely crushed, other areas super washed out, weird discrepancies between the menus and the game). I found this solution on reddit, and it fixed my issue (I'm on an ISF calibrated LG CA and PS5): Go to the video menu and reset the settings to default (I think it's square on PS5). You'll have to reset up the field of view, etc...but now everything looks like it should pre-witch queen. (I set my midpoint down to @20-30 and the nits around 750 per the post and those look good). 6 RepliesHi there, Thanks for your report. Could you provide an image or video of this occurring so we can investigate? Youtube works best for video links, and Imgur or Twitter for image links.

Same problem for me on Xbox. Tv is also LG OLED.

Having the same problem here too. It's been reported to Bungie. All we can do is wait for updates and a patch, soon I hope.

Edited by James-B263: 2/28/2022 12:32:08 AMI've noticed a change too. It's actually good, in my opinion, that it's overall brighter and not as crushing black even with the settings on default. For me, it's not as washed out. I think people who are complaining should check their other settings for the TV/display. But, it is to a degree, subjective of course. I dare to say it's moving in the right direction but the effort is needed still to make it a truly great HDR game. I'm more satisfied than ever before.
