DLC paid for, but not working

Listen here Bungie, I called the Xbox support line. They told me I had placed the order for the deluxe edition of witch queen + the 30th anniversary content, however it “wasn’t paid for” so explain to me why I 1. Can’t play the witch queen today unless I pay for it again. And 2. Have all of the 30th anniversary items that I PAID FOR. I paid 100 dollars for this on December 18th and I’m now being told I can’t play unless I pay another 100 dollars? This game is garbage. Fix it please. Fix your support. I’ve never felt more ignored in my life as a customer.

  • You PRE ORDERED it December 18th. The money was not charged then. When they recently went to take the money out of your account the funds were not there so you were not charged and the pre order was simply canceled.

  • I bought the Standard version and half the content was locked and I realized I also had to purchase the season pass! What a joke! If you buy the game or new dlc that should cover everything but nope you gotta keep buying passes and whatever to play the game and get the content. I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point any legendary or exotic weapons you earn come with a lock on them and can’t be used unless you unlock them with silver.

        • The charges for that bundle didn’t attempt until a like a week ago. I preordered the $100 bundle back in August and MS charged me on Feb 13th. You would not have been charged back in December. It’s possible they tried to charge you recently and there wasn’t enough funds available.

          • You pre ordered and didn't pay dude. Microsoft didnt take payment until last week, not December. If you pre ordered deluxe, the £87 version Inc the 30th bundle, it unlocked the 30th bundle but only took payment last week. You where either under the illusion that you'd paid, or thought you'd got away with a freebie, but from what you've said it sounds like you've pre ordered a d not paid. Go to the Microsoft website, sign in, top bar go to payments + billing, and choose orders, it'll be there and show what's happened, best guess is it'll say pre order cancelled bcoz the money wasn't there last week. The didn't take payment twice as the system can't do that, and you didn't pay in December bcoz it wasn't possible.

          • Because on Xbox when you pre-ordered weren't charged at that moment. You were charged 2 weeks ago, a little before Valentine's Day.

            • I'm having the same issue, I pre Ordered the standard edition on Xbox. The charge came out just before release as scheduled. However I only have access to the first mission, but ironically I can play the campaign so long as a friend who has it is the fireteam leader.

            • I also want to know about this. My partner is in the same situation, he can literally equip Gali but doesn't have the season pass or anything else he paid for.

              • This seems to be a Xbox issue. Not sure if you have done this but go to dashboard, highlight Destiny and press the menu button then select manage game. There will be boxes that might not be ticked off. Check the boxes and it will install. You'll have to manually install Witch Queen and the WQ preorder pack. Hope that helps.

              • It may have been your payment method. If you pre order with a credit/debit card it isn't charged until the release day. I have done that and accidently spent the money on something else.

                • I ordered standard version today. Technically a pre order as I did it one hour before it went live. Then I watched tv for a couple of hours and it was all ready to play (PS4). I know we all live in a society now where you buy music instantly, food arrives immediately and Amazon delivers everything next day, but chilling for a couple of hours while my ancient (but still working perfectly PS4 - unlike the three Xbox’s that died during the same period) does its thing was no hardship at all. I do have one complaint for Bungie, what a wicked thing to do to power up all my sunset weapons to 1350, making me think they were all in-sunset. You utter bstrd’s! For one brief moment I got to pull out my Kindled Orchid with Rampage and Kill Clip!

                  • This is a platform issue. Not Bungie. Bungie doesn’t sell dlc. They license it to the platforms who then sale it to you. You need to keep contacting MS.

                  • You can sign into your Xbox account online and view your "order history". Also, it shows your method of payment and it goes back years. If you were charged you will see the charged.

                    • I paid with my debit card so it might just be a credit card issue just make sure you see the bank statement because you could sue bungie for it

                        Does anyone know if game share could cause this problem, I played the first mission but yet don’t have access to the season pass? When I manage game and add ons, it says installed but when I view it through the store it says app not installed? Confused???
