Witch queen pre-load PS4: Compatibility Packs

I read about Bungie saying they are realeasing something for ps4 to improve future updates and after downloading the big preload for witch queen or starting the pre load all we had to do was start the game and the next update part would start. The normal size of the update (as seen from my dads ps5 {Could be a generational thing but i dont know}) is 18.8 GB mine was only 1.8GB which I assume to be the smaller update. I have tried checking for update and loading the game up (really cool menu btw, music is incredible) and the update didn't start, i just dont know what to do so im reporting it here. Any help from bungie or anyone else who solved the problem would be great :)

  • Hey, Bungie are aware of this and have released the following statements regarding the matter:

We are aware of players using the PS4 version of Destiny 2 reporting they are unable to download the associated Destiny 2 Required Content files.

They then followed it up with this statement:

Due to an unforeseen issue, PS4 Required Content is not yet available for download. Players using the PS4 version of Destiny 2 can download these files at 9 AM PST tomorrow when Update 4.0.0.1 becomes available. All Required Content is ~72 GB total. Stay tuned for updates.

Via the following tweets: https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1495971754577174536?s=20&t=Nkga8vi5omAGv2o58yJlwA https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1495994515559178240?s=20&t=Nkga8vi5omAGv2o58yJlwA

      • Hello. PS4 Players have to download a 1.8GB update then launch the game to download the rest.
