Credit Resets
Good afternoon,
We have performed what we hope to be our last round of Credit Resets for accounts using the Challenge Reset exploit.
From this point on, we expect our automatic system to promptly suspend accounts which use this exploit, minimizing the ill-gotten gain to a degree that we do not feel that we need to apply a reset on top of this.
Note that our automated system will not be performing resets. That is a responsibility that we prefer to keep in the hands of living beings.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A "Double or Nothing" dispute thread will be created if it proves necessary and investigation time is available. However, we are once again using the same criteria as our last two resets, and investigations following those did not uncover a single false positive (just a lot of "little brothers".)
As such, we have a very high degree of confidence that these resets were correctly targeted, and our investigation effort will be reduced this time through.
[b]FAQ[/b]
No, we did not and are not going to ban anyone for "farming" any of the following:
- Gruntpocalypse (or Score Attack in general)
- Target Locators
- Demon/Flawless Cowboy
- "Full Party" Boosting
No, isolated cases of network disconnects will not have caused you to be reset.
No, you are not going to be reset in the future because your internet connection occasionally drops.
No, we cannot undo a reset because a hacker/little brother/malevolent alternate personality actually did the boosting, much to your dismay.
No, we cannot reset your Commendations as well.
And sorry, but no, we cannot speak to topics unrelated to Credit Resets within this thread.

Um...I actually got banned for farming a target locator today..Well, credit banned at least. (It said "Temporarily", but it didn't tell me how long it would last) Either that, or I was banned for having hacker on my team.

Okay, I brought this up THREE MONTHS AGO and the problem persists. Everytime I play with my son and daughter, Bluactionmonkey and Lil PetshopzomB, my console gets credit banned. WTF? They are actually playing the damn game. Even if they aren't HOW DOES IT BENEFIT ME AT ALL TO PLAY BIG TEAM BATTLE WITH TWO IDLE ON MY TEAM? Bungie, you have got to stop equating zero kills to AFC. This is getting ridiculous. I JUST WANT TO PLAY MM WITH MY KIDS!!!! I guess Bungie doesn't want me to do that... [Edited on 03.25.2011 7:31 PM PDT]

hey ferrex, is it possible to have multiple accounts for FPB? eg: three real players all have guests for gametypes like invasion or BTB. or 6ppl have each a guest and they all play invasion or BTB.

My fiance, my brother, my nephew, my son, i didnt know.... stop whining and get over it, bans dont last forever especially for first time offences and accidentals. Will I get simply banned for boosting other commendations in campaign, like small arms, grenades, automatic weapons etc.? I have been banned twice already: 1. Full Party boosting with my friend for some weeks 2. Unknown : / I'm not sure why I got banned, really.... I have heard rumors of it bein a "3 strikes and you're out" policy for Halo; on your 3rd ban you'll be banned forever. Is this true? And why did I get banned my first time for a Full Party boosting if you say that it's allowed? The only ones that are 100% legit are the ones in Firefight.

I am significantly new to this whole forum thing and been going throuh the forums forever trying to find a reasonable forum topic to message on to figure out why i got banned 4 times in the last month or so i have credit farmed a few times and from what i understand ppl dont get banned for that and my guests are reasonable players and do get some kills so can you enlighten me and tell me exactly what im doing wrong and if you cant please point me in the direction of someone that can thanx
