Credit Resets
Good afternoon,
We have performed what we hope to be our last round of Credit Resets for accounts using the Challenge Reset exploit.
From this point on, we expect our automatic system to promptly suspend accounts which use this exploit, minimizing the ill-gotten gain to a degree that we do not feel that we need to apply a reset on top of this.
Note that our automated system will not be performing resets. That is a responsibility that we prefer to keep in the hands of living beings.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A "Double or Nothing" dispute thread will be created if it proves necessary and investigation time is available. However, we are once again using the same criteria as our last two resets, and investigations following those did not uncover a single false positive (just a lot of "little brothers".)
As such, we have a very high degree of confidence that these resets were correctly targeted, and our investigation effort will be reduced this time through.
[b]FAQ[/b]
No, we did not and are not going to ban anyone for "farming" any of the following:
- Gruntpocalypse (or Score Attack in general)
- Target Locators
- Demon/Flawless Cowboy
- "Full Party" Boosting
No, isolated cases of network disconnects will not have caused you to be reset.
No, you are not going to be reset in the future because your internet connection occasionally drops.
No, we cannot undo a reset because a hacker/little brother/malevolent alternate personality actually did the boosting, much to your dismay.
No, we cannot reset your Commendations as well.
And sorry, but no, we cannot speak to topics unrelated to Credit Resets within this thread.

I got reset from general grade 2 to recruit for no reason i have never cheated i have never boosted or anything of that sort all i play is grifball i average 50 kills a game and you probably reset me because i am too goood for you guys this is why people play cod plus if my rank and credits are not restored in full i am going to sue you for the time i have played plus all the bullcrap that happens on your servers i will screw your company up and make sure no more games ever come from bungie again you will be the next Looking Glass

I have something to add here I was on my xbox console with a friend last week, we did all the challanges at my place. Later that day we recovered both our gamertags at my friends place, he kept all his challenges but mine were reset (dispite the fact that I did the weekly the day before) I felt like o ooh I am in trouble, I did not notice at first, but when I assassinated 3 people I saw challange complete, wich made me go 0_0!! Then, after 1 game, we found out that all my challenges were reset (including the weekly as I mentioned, that one was done the day before) How is this possible then? it is out of my doing I can't help it that these challenges randomly reset themselves (because they did not with my friend) After 1 more game my challenges were all completed again I hope there is an explenation for this, because I have always laughed at guyes being stupid enough to get challenge resets, but I never knew it could happen without knowing it is done (as far as me and my friend knew you have to complete a challange and immediatly disconnect from live, and in the same session, sign back in else it won't work) We did not do such a thing (you can check in the game history) The question remains, why all the challanges including the weekly wich was done a day before? and why not my friends challanges? we both recovered our gamertags at the exact same time. I hope this post is relevant and usefull to you bungie, because it may have happened to other people and thus they have been banned unjustly
