Credit Resets
Good afternoon,
We have performed what we hope to be our last round of Credit Resets for accounts using the Challenge Reset exploit.
From this point on, we expect our automatic system to promptly suspend accounts which use this exploit, minimizing the ill-gotten gain to a degree that we do not feel that we need to apply a reset on top of this.
Note that our automated system will not be performing resets. That is a responsibility that we prefer to keep in the hands of living beings.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A "Double or Nothing" dispute thread will be created if it proves necessary and investigation time is available. However, we are once again using the same criteria as our last two resets, and investigations following those did not uncover a single false positive (just a lot of "little brothers".)
As such, we have a very high degree of confidence that these resets were correctly targeted, and our investigation effort will be reduced this time through.
[b]FAQ[/b]
No, we did not and are not going to ban anyone for "farming" any of the following:
- Gruntpocalypse (or Score Attack in general)
- Target Locators
- Demon/Flawless Cowboy
- "Full Party" Boosting
No, isolated cases of network disconnects will not have caused you to be reset.
No, you are not going to be reset in the future because your internet connection occasionally drops.
No, we cannot undo a reset because a hacker/little brother/malevolent alternate personality actually did the boosting, much to your dismay.
No, we cannot reset your Commendations as well.
And sorry, but no, we cannot speak to topics unrelated to Credit Resets within this thread.

I just have one question, If we challenge reset(ed) and got bannhammered, but not rank reset, and now only legitimately get credits, is there a chance that we will be reset in the future for the old challenge resetting? i am curious, because i have a secondary account, i challenge reset, i got banned for 2 weeks, and now im off probation. I want to play with that account, but dont want to see if in 1 month, i get reset for challenge resetting before i got banned. EXAMPLE: 5/9/11 | Challenge reset for about a week. then stopped. 5/16/11 | Got credit banned for 2 weeks, but NOT rank reset. 5/31/11 | Never challenge reset again. Play legitimately for 1 month. 6/31/11 | Reset for what happened in the pre-5/16 period <<<<<I wish a request to have my account investigated. Prior to the Rank Reset, I was already on a 2 week cR ban for resetting challenges. Now in those two weeks I have been super careful to not break anymore rules in fear of being reset. But I got reset anyway. Im not gonna say I have never AFKed games of FF. Im sure at one point I have unintentionally. Halo will be 343's by the end of the year. =)hey ferrex i was an inheritor and was reset for afking FF i only have 639 FF games of my 9,305 total games played i rarely even play it i DO have what could be considered AFK games but they are few maybe 60-75 and alot of which are DNF because most of them were played on a very bad connection where it was the only thing i could play and i wanted to hit my Cr limit all of my games have some kills i never just left the controller for a bunch of games. would you consider just taking away any credits i earned in Firefight altogether or half my credits just not all them thats way to extreme.
