Credit Resets
Good afternoon,
We have performed what we hope to be our last round of Credit Resets for accounts using the Challenge Reset exploit.
From this point on, we expect our automatic system to promptly suspend accounts which use this exploit, minimizing the ill-gotten gain to a degree that we do not feel that we need to apply a reset on top of this.
Note that our automated system will not be performing resets. That is a responsibility that we prefer to keep in the hands of living beings.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A "Double or Nothing" dispute thread will be created if it proves necessary and investigation time is available. However, we are once again using the same criteria as our last two resets, and investigations following those did not uncover a single false positive (just a lot of "little brothers".)
As such, we have a very high degree of confidence that these resets were correctly targeted, and our investigation effort will be reduced this time through.
[b]FAQ[/b]
No, we did not and are not going to ban anyone for "farming" any of the following:
- Gruntpocalypse (or Score Attack in general)
- Target Locators
- Demon/Flawless Cowboy
- "Full Party" Boosting
No, isolated cases of network disconnects will not have caused you to be reset.
No, you are not going to be reset in the future because your internet connection occasionally drops.
No, we cannot undo a reset because a hacker/little brother/malevolent alternate personality actually did the boosting, much to your dismay.
No, we cannot reset your Commendations as well.
And sorry, but no, we cannot speak to topics unrelated to Credit Resets within this thread.

Ferrex, I'm sure this has been asked before, but what if you take a guest into firefight matchmaking and sign him out? Is this bannable or still being looked into? If it is bannable, we've had no fair warning, and if you do issue a warning, please don't ban people who did it before the warning. Frankly I don't care about the Rank cap, because I have not even come close to hitting it yet. Especially after my 360 scratched my copy of Reach, so I haven't been playing for a couple days. Basically my point is that it seems like two different mentalities coming from the same source. One doesn't want t people to level up too quickly, and says everything needs to be fair. Then the other side, says we don't care how you get there, just as long as you do! What about their stats? Once they start playing normally nobody can ever look at their account and think that's normal! When I go into a game I sometimes lookup how many games an enemy has won. Now it doesn't matter. You are providing me with 1000 different statistics to compare myself to other gamers, and then making it okay to mess with these stats any way people want. Congratulations, you just destroyed ALL of the stat collecting this game does. IT'S ALL USELESS if people can just boost all of them. There isn't a statistic on this site that is usefull under this mentality. I have 2 perfections... but they could have been from boosted games, so now nobody will care. Not only do we not have a decent ranking system, we don't even have bragging rights now! Bad form Bungie, bad form!

So, let me get this straight Bungie. You reset me for supposed Cr boosting which i only did about 1-4 times in my Halo Reach experience. Bungie, your not part of the solution, your part of the problem. If your going to reset people who may have whole-heartly worked towards their Lt. Colonel ranks, your going to lose a hell of a lot of fan support, and who knows? Everyone just might Buy COD black ops instead of trying to get back to their ranks, who might just get kicked back down again. Listen to me Bungie, stop trying to put these harsh reseting laws on people who are just trying to have the full experience of the game. Maybe they just want to get that one Mark V helmet they've been yammering to get, Maybe they're just trying to get enough money to buy all the commando armour when the level cap lifts. How about you just reset them to what ever rank they used to be before they got greedy, eh? Your not part of the Solution, Your part of the PROBLEM.

i know people are going to call me a lier but i don't care because i know i am not i have been having connection trouble for about 2 weeks now and a couple of times a day my internet turns off i have owned halo reach for just short of a week so before you all start saying yeah bet it did it has been doing it on fifa 11 mw2 all my other games. so if i have completed a challenge and my internet turns off and my credits have not been counting what am i going to do I AM GOING TO GET THEM AGAIN ARNT but no bungie resets you for this EVEN THO IT IS THERE FAULT THIS HAPPENS ANYWAY and im sure it stats that you will not get reset for your connection dropping WELL GUESS WHAT I DID this is rediculous.
