A lot of people have interpreted this to mean that the Hive are running patrols on us, but I have a different take. To me it sounds like the Lucent Brood is providing safe passage (from regular Hive) for Ikora to go speak with Savathun.

I think many of us are relieved to find out this is NOT a lucent Hive talking. Kudos to joanespotatos for accurately predicting that Immaru is a Lucent Hive ghost. :-) I figured I'd just update this thread as the discussion develops instead of spamming threads.

How cool it would be if Hive Guardians suddently popped up when you're free roaming and started attacking you just like a high value target patrol. Bungie would basically turn the concept of patrols against us.

Maybe I’d need to actually see the one talking but based on audio alone, I can’t imagine that coming from a Hive. I’m probably complaining about nothing since he most likely will have little to no screen time.
