Crucible Feels Horrible and Unbalanced

I know this isn't new but after so many matches I'm just lost for words how bad pvp is. Shotgun range is absurd and at times illogical. Same with fusions, like why have linears they can kill long range? If anything, the falloff damage needs to be more punishing at increment distances. Grenade abilities should be a 1 shot kill again, they are literally a grenade! Makes no sense why they did that. On the topic of abilities not being 1 shot kills anymore, bounties that require ability kills need to be tuned down, especially for Iron Banner. Iron Banner bounties take way too long to finish. And with how the metas are and how players are abusing broken weapons, none of it feels balanced or skilled anymore. For alot of the weapon arch types I'd even argue the TTK is too high for their own good. It feels like a train wreck that doesn't belong in Destiny anymore, and this is coming from a 7 year veteran who used to enjoy Crucible, I worry for pvp in Witch Queen

    Crucible is a joke. From the absurdly fast movement, to the small maps, to teams that holds hands and team shot, to the garbage overpowered weapons like Chaperone and Fusions, to garbage like a bow, the trash peer to peer system, inconsistent guns, lack of content, terrible special ammo economy where people can use specials all game long. It's just a pathetic joke of a pvp game. Nobody takes it seriously in the competitive fps community because of how awful it is. This is why it will just be a mode for the slobs who live in there. It's one of if not the worst pvp fps games you can play right now. It's just floating in a swamp full of diapers and sewage. I hope they just get rid of it entirely honestly. Every time I try to play it I just hate every single thing about it. It's a -blam!- joke. It's so far from Destiny 1 pvp that it's just the worst part of the game and they shouldn't spend any time or resources on it at all. Just let it stay in this garbage state for the goblins who live in there.

    • TTK is way too high for most weapons. Most are totally unviable options to use. People abuse special weapons because of their short TTK and then outside of that it's a Hand Cannon/Shotgun fest. Has been for years.

      • Grenades should one hit because they're grenades. Okay, your gun should jam. You should be slowed after taking fall damage. You wanna start an activity? Actually no, go repair your ship, your jump drive isn't working. Hey, your new armour has a hole in it, either ditch it or go find a new piece. Realism very frequently is not fun. Brainless OHK nades like we had in D1 were not fun.

      • It also does not help that they drop broken weapons in there. I don’t see the meta changing at all it is still going to be hand cannons and shotguns.

        • We need better maps. Currently maps favor medium to short range. Leaving long ranged weapons at a disadvantage. ○ I agree with your concern about fusion rifles. There have been times where I've been shot by a fusion rifle and been killed when you would expect there to be fall off. ○ ◇ TLDR ◇ Maps need to be changed to allow for long range gunfights. Where some other weapons need to be slightly tuned so they don't make any other weapon types irrelevant

        • The IB bounty gives bonus progress for supers. So just spam them off cooldown

        • Whilst they allow all armours and weapons to be used in there, it will never be balanced.

          This game gives players wins and loses. It’s not earned. Go to destiny tracker look up ur games and u will see almost every game the winning team had an average of an 80+% chance of winning. U have too keep that forced 50% win loss ratio so u feel like ur wining matches and not losing to much. Honestly if the enemy team starts with a lead of, id say 30 points in the first 1 or so min just quit. Chances are it’s a forced loss, quitting counts as a loss. Do that for a few games till the game gives u a forced win. No point in trying if the outcome is determined. Loss games are a 100 more sweaty than SBMM ever was and there isn’t even a reward, no feel good moment for coming close or just barley winning, just sweating ur -blam!- off for the enemy to mercy anyways. And games u win are so pathetically easy now that it doesn’t feel good to win. Cool I got a 4.5 KD against a team that not a single player had a 0.8 or higher. But that’s the point. Those games u feel like a god despite ur playing against potatoes compared to you and u get just enough dopamine to feel good and continue to suffer for the next moment u feel like a god. It’s a toxic relationship between the player and destiny and the pve content is just good enough to tell yourself it’s worth it.

            • You want fusions and shotguns nerfed but you also want grenades to one shot? Man you guys suck at balancing. Cant you see you are literally removing one problem and making another? You want actual balance? This is what I would do SPECIAL AMMO •Remove scavenger mods! This is a huge part of the problem and why everyone runs with a special as their primary. •Only allow special ammo drops on primary weapon kills. it speaks for itself, no reason why someone should be allowed to snowball with a special. •If someone had like 6 special ammo bullets on them and died to a primary, the person that then picks up the brick should still only get one bullet. This prevents someone from having no special ammo to suddenly having a ton of ammo ready to abuse and use it as a primary. •Players will still spawn with a max of 2 special rounds, this prevents players from getting snowballed. PRIMARIES honestly just a couple of buffs here and there on some weapon archetypes. •All primaries take less flinch from special weapons but deal slightly more flinch to anyone with a special weapon, this is only for those that seriously hate facing lorenz and still dying to them even after flinching them as much as possible. Its also helpful against shotgun apes that main chaperone. •I think a small nerf to range on some hand cannons would make a ton of people happy but Im not about to talk about that since everyone has different sides and some people get butthurt. Anyways thats how I would balance the game. I didn’t touch on abilities because I honestly think they are fine. Some cooldowns could be reworked but they are mostly fine.

              • Range will forever be an issue u too we get bigger maps. I really hope they give us all big maps with the new expansion. And lots of them. Pvp been dry for content for years now smh

                  That’s because it is, and it always has been. The classes are unbalanced, special ammo weapon dependency is way, WAY too prominent, the maps are too small for 6v6 which makes for bad spawning situations, the rampancy of sliding shotguns is hysterically laughable, and players having individual pursuits that dictates loadouts while competing on a team does not and has never made any sense.

                    • Am literally getting matched with players in iron banner with less than 100 kills and 0.9 and less kd… then I look at the other team and yes!! It’s a six stack with multiple flawless emblems. Yes I have over 8000 kills in iron banner and 2.8 kd but come on bungie please give me at least 2 good players to help me against a stacked team..

                      • Specials are too rampant, lobby balancing is non-existent, and some weapons are way too powerful while others are far too weak. Those are my three biggest gripes with Crucible right now.

                      • Pellet spread shotguns don’t have illogical range, unless you play with chip damage you’re not killing past 6 meters (with most shotguns) and slugs are decent minus chappie which is getting fixed

                        • IB bounties take too long to finish? i literally did mine in 6 games. how is that too long? Grenades are fine how they are. Some actually need nerfed, Axion Bolt. Shotguns are fine with the exception of slugs the range on all slugs needs reduced or the aim assist need reduced. I would agree that TTK across the board needs increased on certain weapon types.

                            • Crucible is great, you are just bad at it. If you post a gameplay video, I can tell you exactly what you need to target to improve. You are probably more interested into shifting the blame onto the game though.
