Here is a recent survey out of 9.3k votes only 9% were excited about the new upcoming raid: https://imgur.com/gallery/SWnCc0v
I have played since Destiny 1 and I have done every single raid in Destiny 2, and in my honest opinion I don't think that raids are that fun. If anything I feel like they are more of a hassle to get a team together and then having to have that whole team on the same page or teach them how to do the raid is an enormous headache.
Also some people just don't want to talk on the microphone. I think I'm safe in saying that most people who played destiny are introverts and don't tend to like speaking on the microphone, myself included. I think activities that don't require you to communicate are much more fun.
Personally I feel that you guys spend too much time and effort on raids, acting like they are the main appeal behind the game when in reality I think it's probably the least cared about thing in the game. As I said raids just required too much coordination and team education to be fun. For all my casual Destiny friends I can't get them to do raids because they just don't like having to watch 40 minute long YouTube videos on how to get through and counters and I got to say I completely agree with them.
Dungeons are much more enjoyable they are like miniature rates they don't require much education or overly Advanced mechanics. You don't even need a mic to do them as a matter of fact I'd say that you'd be safe turning on matchmaking for dungeons.

Raids need to exist as the pinnacle of the PvE game. They are a spectacle everyone should strive to complete and with multiple difficulties can now be something most dedicated players can achieve. They are needed for this pursuit and prestige destiny has as a franchise. However, I also agree that dungeons are more important in some regards. They are going to be seen and completed by a wider range of players and are less daunting for players who may feel uncomfortable to LFG or don’t have a group. But to my knowledge - this year we will see 2 brand new dungeons and one brand new raid (with one reprised raid). I think that’s a great cadence and enough dungeons to please most players.

Why should we listen to bad players?

5 RepliesI don't care much about the dungeons because I know they don't mean anything. Whereas I know I can get decent loot from raids. What are you getting? 1 extra mod slot? Who can even use that?

1/100th of the playerbase used an unrelated poll who cares

Legend has it that there are more red dots on your raid report than in a large size cup of strawberry Dippin’ Dots. 👉🧸

1 ReplyYou can see the % of raids completed in your trophies/achievements. But yeah ..its pretty low. Its been this way for the whole franchise. Last i looked a couple years ago... Crota's End was still under i believe 9% completed on Playstation.

2 Replies9k votes possible less of those people are actual destiny players. The only reason this game didnt die on launch was bc of a raid. stfu.

Nah man. I prefer raids over dungeons. Dungeons loot don't really interest me raid gear does.

Dungeons aren't important. Focus on MORE WOLFJOB

Raids are better

11 RepliesWhy should the devs cater to people who can’t be bothered to use a mic? Being introverted is not an excuse. If you can’t communicate with people seek help or stop playing this MULTIPLAYER only game. Also some poll from a bunch of rando Jims does not dictate the entire community’s opinion.

This is a bad take. If anything, focus on both.

3 Repliesyes, let's get rid of raids because people who have never completed a raid don't like them, when majority of the player base agree that dungeons are better THEN we'll talk

2 RepliesEdited by Goomy: 2/13/2022 11:27:22 PMBased on your replies on this post, I assume you don't like raids because you're an -blam!- and your teammates don't like you. No wonder you're scared to get on mic

7 RepliesThat whole post could have been summed up by saying "I don't like raids because they require communication and because of that want more dungeons".

Aren't they releasing two dungeons this year?

5 RepliesAnother armchair dev who thinks they know better.

3 RepliesYou can’t claim that dungeons are better than raids by comparing raids to the campaign and other stuff coming out. If you want to actually prove that dungeons are more important, have a vote on raids vs dungeons
