The Warlock Stasis Gloves seem like a bad idea.
1. It's not what the class needed.
2. It's clearly meant for PvP and Warlock freeze durations (1.5 seconds) are almost unusable. Penumbral Blast only KINDA works because you can sometimes be close enough to melee shatter them.
3. If it somehow IS good in PvP, its 100% doomed to be nerfed because the damage is done and Stasis will always piss people off.
4. It's useless in PvE, the side mode, because we have far better sources to freeze more than twice. 2 Coldsnap grenades? Why not run Claws of Ahamkara to get 2 Punumbral Blasts which are faster and crowd control just as well? This exotic wasn't needed and is very lazy.
5. An Exotic Armor that changed Healing Rift into a flat Duskfield (so you can see while standing in it of course) would've made more sense. Or maybe one to turn Penumbral Blast into a duskfield trap that sticks to surfaces similar to smoke traps. That would have value in all game modes.
Edit: Just realized you can use abuse them as 2 charges of Bleak Watcher. Doesn't make the overall effect good though and was hoping for something to move past the Bleak Watcher spam strategy but I guess that's what I'll be doing all year to terrorize Hive Guardians.

People say double Bleak Watcher, but it also allows you to return to an improved version of how Shadebinder played at Beyond Light's launch Might toy around with a Iceflare Bolts, Glacial Harvest, and Firepower set up when I get them. On paper it looks like it'll be able to freeze crowds more aggressively than Bleak, but over a shorter duration. Better kill potential, worse CC potential

1 ReplyDouble turret sounds like a good idea but with 100 disc and EOAW on I get nade energy back fast enough where I might not need those gloves. Stasis bugs with champs a lot and I don't see that changing any time soon, but I'd be down to take these for a spin in GMs.
