Hunter 3.0 looking incredibly underwhelming

I'm a Hunter main and was hoping with Void 3.0 that Hunters would finally get some love. Again, I am disappointed. Warlock and Titan is getting awesome changes but Hunters are getting underwhelming changes. I'm starting to feel like Bungie really hates Hunters. It's like pulling teeth to get people to let me play my Hunter in high end activities and I hate it.

  • And it was just revealed by the sandbox lead that Hunter Void 3.0 is basically trash on the Destiny Community Podcast.

  • I only really worry about one thing with hunters in void 3.0, and that's if heart of the pack will still be a thing. Heart of the pack holds the whole neutral game of nightstalker on its back, but the quiver changes look great and I love that it's applying volatile.

    • Disagree. Hunters got PLENTY of love here...and I'm looking forward to playing my alt, and having more build choices than slapping on Orpheus Rig and running tether all the time. No personal disrespect, but some of you just aren't used to thinking in terms of builds, and how to get the most out of the tools the game gives you. Just the ability to use suppression grenades as Hunter----in a game where we're going to have enemies throwing supers at us---has my build-crafting gears whirring in anticipation.

      • Literally every class thinks there’s is underwhelming without even using it yet. Why do you kids always do this every time something new comes out?

          • I’d definitely wait until it comes out before we pass judgement.

            • Hunters have infinite invisibility what more do you want? Something that stops you taking damage for the whole game? Warlocks needed a lot of work for their void class it was one of the worst void subclasses in the game.

              • I'm willing to wait and see how the Fragments shake out. Looked like there's a lot of them we didn't see that may have some good interactions I'm not sure how I feel about Warlock becoming what looks to be the premiere debuffer now. I like that Titan looks to be getting a new team overshield role

                • I disagree, I think having weaken be a prevalent debuff in the hunters neutral game and not just the super is a really great thing, especially on a melee that instantly recharges with dodge. Omnioculus was already great but now the ability to have two smokes, one to get in and the other to shatterdive and instantly invis out after weakening a -blam!- ton of enemies is actually really cool. Also with the insane invis uptime we saw in the trailer you’re able to play super close to enemies to take advantage of the one fragment that gives you super damage when surrounded. The only thing I’m worried about is whether or not the fragment that allows grenades to weaken will invalidate hunters having it in their super and melee, but with invis being so strong in high level pve I highly doubt hunters are gonna get outclassed.

                • I’m just disappointed that flawless execution is being replaced with stylish executioner. The new ability is just a less efficient form of flawless execution. I was really excited for void 3.0 because I thought I could finally use flawless execution in PvE without it being held back by being tied to spectral blades. This is what I get for getting my hopes up I suppose.

                  • Try being a Titan main. We just got our suppressor grenades and void detonators stolen, And all we got in return is an over-shield barricade and a throwing melee. No blink, no devour, no invis nothing ground breaking to take titan build crafting to the next level. Sentinel will still have the same linear boring subclass design since nothing “NEW” is being added titan. Warlocks got a crazy new aspect and hunters are getting a void dive that can chain into a void version of diamond lance this can all be combined with the new invis system and omnioculus to have a perma invis / ability chain function. Be thankful that bungie puts in effort for hunters and warlock sandbox design. The last time bungie even tried to do anything innovative with the Titan class was back in forsaken and that was over 3 years ago.
And I’ll still bet everything I own that sentinel super hit detection will still be broken after this update.
