Hunter Invisibility needs to be adjusted by the time void 3.0 comes out

This post is specifically from a console point of view, but it may be applicable to pc as well. It has too much of everything: high up time, high ease of use, removal of the most important HUD feature in this game, great pairings with strong exotics (gemini, wormhusk, omni), makes you a lot harder to see, decent duration, smoke with dual purpose for radar manipulation and for disorienting enemies, and a fast charging super to boot. The only downside to the subclass was the super being subpar. with the recent super changes however, it is rare to get a super in a trials game, and with tether being a high tier super you get it before anyone else does which puts a very strong pressure on the opponents. The invis problem is exacerbated with the sound of footsteps being very soft, inconsistent to hear, and fairly non-specific, which makes using audio queues to locate them unreliable. The prevalence of special ammo in the crucible also makes it highly unforgiving if youre a little slow on detecting them, as even an extra quarter of a second to register that there is an invisible person in the area is half of the charge time/aim time for a lorentz/fusion/chap/sniper. There is a reason that all of the shatterdive mains have moved on to using invis now: its too good for how easy it is to use and how high its uptime is. By the time void 3.0 comes out, it will only be stronger. There are other subclass outliers as well, but this post is focused solely on invisibility.

    • When a Hunter cant stealth res you in a raid, juat remember you asked for this. We've been getting nerf after nerf since Destiny 1. We lost blink warp, now you want our stealth nerfed next? We're squishy, stealth is needed to get that extra edge.

      • People like you would have this game turn to halo and loose its identity as destiny next you'll want warlocks not to have icarus dash because they can move out line of site easily or a titan nerfed because he used a shield and blocked a super , an tbh sounds like your probs more with lorentz driver than anything else

        • I'll say the super CD 💯 needs to be on the same level like every other. The neutral game is for sure strong enough to compensate for the supers effectiveness.

        • It's easy to see, has a loud audio cue, wears off after 1 shot, and has aim assist on it. There is no problem. And basically never has been. Can you people lay off anything Hunter related for 1 day or not?

          • I like my dodgy invis boy. Not because I’m good, but because it’s fun. Your problem is with the good players on every class and by that, I mean that the top 10% of players are where you have to keep your head on a swivel no matter what they play -blam!-. They could be a bassoon and you would need to focus. Everyone else, it’s a crapshoot of good and bad. Focus on the broken crap the bottom 90% can exploit that needs a fix.

            • Ill have to disagree. Invisibility can be annoyingly built around, but its not a gamebreaking ability, you have to be a lot more focused but just take note of what you’re fighting and you’ll contend a lot better, Invis hunters tend to dodge and then peak around, listen for the dodge and be ready to shoot at head level. Also something worth noting is brightness, playing on a slightly brighter setting makes invis really not invis at all and allows you to capitalize on the sense of confidence invis hunters get when the dodge or throw a smoke.

                  • Idk man it lets out a really loud audio cue when people hit invis and tbh majority of the time you should still spot them anyway just don't rely on Rader, maybe if come void 3.0 it's extremely over used knock a second off but at this point in time it doesn't seem that bad

                                I’m getting pretty tired of people constantly complaining about every single Hunter ability. Every single time something gets nerfed people immediately find something new to complain about. That being said, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you’re not calling for nerf to make things easier for yourself. So what’s your suggestion to nerf it?

                                    Definitely agree with everything you say. Its too good and when its paired with some of the strongest weapons it just doesn't require much from the player using it. Going off radar and then sliding around a corner while invisible with chaperone makes it so there's basically no risk whatsoever to what you're doing. Who is really going to get killed doing something like that? Other than probably me. And there's a whole list of other weapons that don't need to be made any less risky to use.
