Make quest progress account based. It's so tedious doing it more than once to unlock everything.
Be well.

It's gonna bump up their player numbers, and as long as they can get those up without having to reward players on equal return, they're gonna do it. That's why there's so much reissuing without being able to use what you have, random roll or not, and why so many weapons intentionally have a smaller drop chance that others. To force grinds and playtime.
-
1 ReplyYou must. Luke Smith will literally come to your home, tie you up in front of whatever platform you play on until you do. Happens to me every year.
-
4 RepliesThis is why my titan has some extra stasis things but my hunter and warlock only have the basic subclass for stasis, its too grindy. The Beyond Light campaign gets boring fast and is over faster than Forsaken's, and then you have to do it again, and again. Just make the DLC accountwide progression, problem solved, mostly. . Then add in some boring season crap to keep us grinding for an OP exotic and cat.
-
Amen… I still haven’t bothered to finish that moon based dlc with my hunter.
-
2 RepliesI'd rather they unlock all the stasis fragments and aspects once you do it on one character. That is just TEDIOUS!
-
1 ReplyI agree. At this point, I would pay to skip the campaign on my second and third characters.
-
How else will they get play time?
-
2 RepliesQuit whining Be well

8 RepliesIf they do it account wide, people will even realize the lack of content 22 hours earlier than they would otherwise. Bungie creates this "keep players busy at all times" type of content now. Its pure intent isn't entertainment as it should be anymore at all. It is to make players spend as much time in the game as possible. Player numbers satisfy shareholders, get players attached to the game and their characters due to time and "effort" invested. Leading to sales in the mtx store because attached players are way more likely to spend additional money and invest even more time within the game due to now time and money invested in the game. It's genious and actually should be forbidden by law imo. Because it literally works just like other addicting things that are actually forbidden by law. But since governments don't nearly know anything about the video game industry and don't care to learn about it, it's all legal human manipulation to a worrying degree. Amd then theres people who are REALLY addicted already -blam!- to see it this way. They just eat their so called "content" up and do everything thats presented to them on a silver plate. They literally structure their game around human weaknesses such as gambling addiction in form of increasingly worse odds for good loot and weapon rolls the more you play and the above mentioned attachment trick by making their players spend as much useless artificial grind time in the game as possible, followed by weekly drip feeds to support that maximized player engagement. Sad what this developer who produced such great games earlier in the non capitalistic and greedy days has become these days. Really sad.

1 ReplyThis is not a bash on OP, but I find it funny how so many people are complaining about replayable content, but people don't want to replay new stuff on separate characters. I think Bungie is going away from that model. While I don't mind doing 3 runs on it, it's so hard to determine when to stop on one character, and to start with your second/3rd
-
2 RepliesEdited by Blitz Wolf: 2/3/2022 6:03:14 AMI like how so many seemed to have missed the point. The OP is NOT saying that players cannot choose to replay the campaign on other characters. They're saying they don't want to be forced to do it. And I agree. For instance, I finished the Beyond Light campaign on my Titan. Everything to unlock everything. My Hunter and Warlock... Stopped after I killed the Kell, whatever her name was. Honestly, cannot remember. Not terribly long ago, I finally unlocked everything on another character. Honestly, cannot remember which one. Still haven't on the third and likely won't ever. Players should be allowed to choose. Meanwhile, so many of you only think in "all or nothing" that it's baffling. Some are actually saying we "should be forced" to do it in all the characters and I'm wondering how that person actually functions in the real world. Poorly, I'd imagine. Let. Players. Choose. Then, quite literally, everyone wins. How hard of a concept is that? F***ing hell.

1 ReplyEdited by QUIET: 2/3/2022 10:28:14 AMlets just hope we dont have to farm fragments and aspect on a weekly basis for void 3.0.
-
I agree. I've only done the campaign for alts in the past out of boredom. Only months later as well. I'd be happy knowing I have an option to skip and start working on aspects instead of running a campaign and quest line 2-3 times more.
-
I wouldn't mind being able to CHOOSE to do it on my other two characters, though.
-
I agree. They stated that the witch queen campaign would be comparable to doom, and some other games, which is nice at first, until I spend 30 hours on each character just trying to get them raid ready
-
As long as there is an option for people who enjoy story to do them on all 3. For me if there is an option to skip I would enjoy that very much
-
8 Replies
Make quest progress account based.
No, make it please OPTIONALLY accountbased. I still would like to replay the story on certain characters perhaps? Unless you are speaking about regular quests, then I am all for it.
-
2 RepliesI'll do the campaign 3 times. Take my time & enjoy the secnery & atmosphere. What I wil NOT be doing is ANY PvP for exotic catalyst or weapon or armour. I distinctly remember a "dual paths" promise a while back that seemingly evaporated without trace. >Play Your Way< Until you tell us otherwise 😉
-
I do the campaign 3 times. Enjoying the story of Witch Queen

Edited by NonOffensiveID1: 2/3/2022 3:41:47 PMI'm okay with doing it on every character. It might be better if there were some differences per each character class or race, or something like that. I can see from the company side that they spend months on this stuff and we blow through it in hours in some cases, so they want to get as much play time to make it worth it from their side. I'm not sticking up for Bungie. I do enjoy this game, I do take breaks when I get bored with it, I do think they are lazy and greedy, and don't seem to care about the state of the game in many instances. I think they could offer a purchase option for players to bypass the whole story, but that would be my solution.
-
4 RepliesI actually disagree. I like doing things over and seeing the stuff I missed. What's the point of a video game if you get to live through an experience once and then never do it again? Where's the fun in that?
-
1 Replythey have to inflate game numbers and game time for their chinese overlords so they don't take back all the money they gave bungie for matter.
-
33 RepliesAs much as I love this game… doing the story on all 3 characters is a waste of time. This needs to change.
-
So basically stop farming us Bungie??

17 RepliesEdited by Phyromancer: 2/2/2022 4:05:23 PMHamster Wheel is content. That's how they think nowadays!😆😆😆 Bungie used to be one of the leaders in videogame making. Others are copying them. Now, Bungie is copying others and then defend what they're copying because other games are doing it before them. 😂😂😂 Other games have their own grind mechanics. Guess what Bungie does?... They copied other games and make their game a Hamster Wheel as well. They don't have an effing clue what to do that when they started Destiny, Activision has to bring in the team from Blizzard who made Diablo to give Bungie a lesson on how videogames work! 😂😂😂 The Diablo team gave them very good advice, and yet they still didn't get it! 😂😂😂 Look at how broken and un-fun this game is! 😂😂😂 Bungie is NOT a leader anymore. It's just a copier now. Like a Xerox machine, they copy other game mechanics from other games like Hamster Wheeling, then defend it like it's a creation of content. They don't create content anymore. They just copy and paste, even from other games. 😂😂😂 Hamster Wheel is now a staple here, and it's not even their idea. They just copied it. Because they can't be original anymore. They are not the leaders anymore!!! 😂😂😂 Now, they lead in abusive behaviors for over a decade by rockstar wannabe staff that are defended by the HR department, the CEO knows about it but did nothing, and old guard staff abusing power also defended by project team leads. They have this abusive behaviour that's been eating at their core for over a decade that even goes back all the way to the Halo days. That's what they've been leading at all along! 😂😂😂 They're not leaders anymore, they just copy. Hamster Wheeling is not their invention, but it has become a staple of this game. Almost like synonymous to the game! 😂😂😂 They don't create anymore, they copy and then defend it like it's the only thing that works.😆😆😆 There's a word for it, but I forgot. I think it's starts with a letter "L". 😂😂😂 Hamster Wheel gaming baby!!! 😂😂😂 Run guardians, RUN!!! 😂😂😂 Uncreative!!!

I understand your issue. I need to play this stasis questline (first time) and I'm not sure I want to do it multiple times. But I would also like to play some quest lines again. Why not visit the prison again with Cayde-6? The content is there, people should have access to it.
