Recycled Content is not new Content
Bungie, for the love of good pulling vaulted weapons out and giving them random rolls is not new content. No matter how bad you want it to be, it's just not. Adding Battlefields to the Vanguard playlist, then changing that playlist's name is not new content. These are lies and blatant ones you all keep selling. What's new content is are strikes(not repurposed knstances from the campaign. As an "MMO" You all have failed to grasp that.) Updated and added game modes is new content.

If you noticed, once Activision left the narrative was quickly oh well its unrealistic to expect a raid or an expansion but we will give you dungeons and seasons which is the same thing you grind each season lol. I'm not gonna go far to say they are lazy but it was abundantly clear they did not have the money to do what they have been doing. Hopefully the acquisition will allow them to do a bit more but we will see. Excited about witch queen though the lore is top notch. Game play after the story, no so much.

Bungies not good at creating new content frequently. By their own words “making content is hard” Which is insane to hear from me considering there’s sooo many plot points that are left wide open that they could explore at anytime. It’s been what? 3 years since we had to pick a side between drifter and the vanguard? And we still have had nothing come from it.

Bungie tries to introduce new weapons. They’re flamed for being reskins of old weapons. Bungie tries to update weapons people enjoyed using with new rolls. They’re flamed for reusing assets. “A million deaths are not enough…” You’ll never be satisfied. I see the updated rolls as new weapons with the same skin. My surplus osmosis scathelocke is not the same as the under pressure scathelocke from vanilla. It looks the same, and it is called the same. It is not the same. They introduce new named weapons… but I’d say they need to focus on more activities and content.

It's such a weird thing to do, like the whole y1 version of weapons just being a massively bad take and them then using that mistake to fill out the gear drops in all future content. I mean would one entire vendor refresh really be too much? Because you would think adding new loot to a looter would be pretty important. But instead we've just got this massive 'world loot pool' making vendors pretty much useless.

I’d judge the new content harder. Most all of the showcased exotics for WQ are very unimaginative and that is extremely upsetting. That’s pretty much my only first complaint so far.

1 ReplyBut, but Bungie does so much and so yea these aren't even guns that had random rolls before, they did work very hard to pull these year 1 weapons out. They even did the extra hard work and put copy and paste all new random rolls on them. Take it easy on them, they are doing their best!!! They remove 8 guns from the loot pool and give us 4 in exchange!!! With 3 of them being complete reissues! That's amazing! It's a major expansion, what could we dare to expect more! Maybe they will even do us a favor and do even less to pvp than they already did for the past 3 and a hald years, maybe even remove the remaining 5 maps in the game instead of giving us the ELEVEN maps back that they deleted already. That would be so awesome guys, wowzer. This is such a great company oh my gosh UwU much wow, they are so good for the game.

32 RepliesI don't think anyone claiming that re-issued weapons or the updated Vanguard playlist are new content. The new content will be in the form of a new campaign, new destination, new quests, new raid, new multiplayer activity, new exotics, new weapon type, new weapon crafting system, and more. It continues to baffle me that people latch onto the idea that since Destiny 1 had yearly vendor refreshes, that means Destiny 2 has no new content. Not only does Destiny 2 offer significantly more content each year than Destiny 1 ever did, but Destiny 2 offers more new weapons each year throughout the year. This isn't to say one game is strictly better or worse than the other (because there are reasons for liking one over the other), but it is to say that Destiny 2 provides a lot of new content in addition to any recycled content that is done over and above new content.
