Who was your guardian before the collapse?
This is one of those prying questions I've ask myself over the years. Was my guardian some random civilian trying to escape the collapse thus dying upon the hill he was resurrected on? Was he military? My theory is that my guardian was a member of some security team assigned to protect the colony ships from a mod of desperate people only to fall to the darkness like everyone did. What's your theory/story about who your guardian was before the collapse?

My warlock was a golden age russian cosmonaut, his ship was exposed to strange inexplicable forces turning him into an awoken. He died at some point when he returns to the Cosmodrome, which is where his ghost finds him. My hunter was a southwestern gunslinger from the Old American southwest, before going to Clovis for an experiment that turned him into an Exo, pre-collapse era. Died in the collapse. My titan was a soldier, he died in some forgotten war lost to time in Old Russia.

I like to think my exo titan was one of rasputin's exo soldiers who died holding the line in defending rasputin against the darkness at the time of the collapse. Maybe he was a member of the seven seraphs? It would explain his affinity for the seraph wrapons...

His name was Bob, the folks around town just called him “Tbaggins”. One day there was a shootout at the mall. Tbaggins came out of nowhere, murder every muthafreaka with his shovel. They thanked him, but he didn’t say a word, the man got a drink and left. Tbaggins wasn’t seen around much, didn’t have family. He said “I don’t have time for such things.” Tbaggins spent a lot of time in his field he bought. I snuck up there one day and found a church, he built a church. That very ninja get a private jet flew in. Just like that he had left as mysteriously as he had arrived. When the collapse happened it was said that Tbaggins took down a whole pyramid ship with his shovel. He went down in a blaze o’ glory.

He has red hair and woke up in hand me down armor, so he must have been a Weasley. And my warlock was a NASCAR driver. He died in a crash, just before the collapse. The other two died in the collapse.

My hunter and warlock were sisters - no one of importance. Just a waitress and a college student. My titan was a brawling, heavy drinking, cursing dock worker. After their resurrection, the sisters found each other again and befriended the titan.

My Warlock was an Exo deployed on earth to defend the space station’s in case of emergency. He died during the collapse from a wire rifle shot through the chest. My Hunter was one of the humans turned awoken during the accident in space travel. My Titan was an Exo on the exodus black. He died from a vex raid defending survivors after the ship crashed. These are my D1 characters. My D2 characters (aside from my warlock) we’re every day people who died in the collapse.[spoiler]licks finger [/spoiler]

My warlock was a lowly cargo pilot before he died in the collapse. When the Black Fleet assaulted Earth, his transport ship, as small and quick as it was, even for a freighter, was knocked out of the air and he died in the crash. He may have lost his memory upon being resurrected as a guardian, but miraculously retained his piloting skills. My hunter was a mercenary. She killed other people for a living, didn’t care who her victims were, so long as she got paid. She did this to support herself and her only son so that he may have a chance and wouldn’t have to become a murderer like she was. She eventually took an assassination job, but bit off more than she could chew and was fatally shot. She was revived by her Ghost holding the same magnum she had used in her previous life. My Titan was one of the Exos stationed at Mumbai when the Black Fleet attacked. He sacrificed himself to try and get the civilians to a safe location.

The Vex mind woke up and took over the Exo body, reportedly erasing the Human inside of it. The Exo had to be destroyed and “Project Centaur” was discontinued.

He was a human who managed to save a little boy from dying, got -blam!- slammed, got rebuilt as an exo and was gifted the light because he was a good dude for saving that boy.

My hunter was a confederate cavalryman in the US civil war. He was killed by another group of confederates while trying to rescue a group of slaves. The body was buried in an unmarked grave in the Virginia woods. During the golden age he was found by archeologists still wearing a tattered grey uniform and a rusty Remington new model army revolver. He was transferred to a Museum to be an exhibit and eventually sent to Russia as a exhibit exchange program. It was when the remains were being transferred to a Russian museum that the collapse happened. When my guardian was revived he was still wearing a tattered grey uniform. All he knew was that he was naturally good with a revolver and thus, a hunter gunslinger was born.
