Lenovo Vantage's "network boost" leading to a restriction

As the title suggests I got an account restriction based due to some issue that destiny and battle eye has with the "network boost" option in the Lenovo Vantage app that comes preinstalled with the laptops. I opened my game as usual after the weekly reset, even tho I had no previous restrictions laid out on me. Every time I opened destiny I was welcomed with the logo and the error code: "connecting to destiny servers" Up until a few days ago where I saw the post related to getting a restriction because of Lenovo Vantage which helps with the networking. I got gigabit internet setup and I have spent around 1300 hours playing this game and not once did I encounter this issue, as soon as I turned off the network boost and booted the game I was laid with this 2 week restriction on my account to no prior knowledge of mine. so, like bungie I don't know if anyone will ever see this, so this is me asking for help to get rid of that restriction which came out of nowhere tbh.

 • I feel your frustration with the Lenovo Vantage 'network boost' causing account restrictions. Something similar happened to me recently, and it caught me completely off guard. I’ve been playing Destiny 2 for years now and have never had any issues with my connection or account status. My setup is pretty solid — I’ve got gigabit internet and I’ve logged over 1000 hours in the game. But out of nowhere, I started getting the 'connecting to Destiny servers' error right after the weekly reset. At first, I thought it was just a server issue. But when it persisted, I started digging around and eventually found out that Lenovo Vantage’s network boost was the culprit. I had no idea this preinstalled app could even cause issues with BattleEye and Destiny 2. Like you, I turned off the network boost option, but by the time I relaunched the game, I was hit with a two-week restriction. No prior warnings or anything — just an instant lockout. It’s frustrating because I didn’t even know this feature could cause a problem, and now I can’t play for two weeks. During my time in Destiny 2, I’ve encountered plenty of challenges, but nothing like this. One of my most memorable moments was running the Last Wish raid with my team and finally beating Riven after countless attempts. And of course, Trials of Osiris has been one of my favorite challenges, though it’s not easy keeping up with the competition. That’s why I’ve used buying pro boosting in Destiny 2 a few times. It’s helped me when I didn’t have the time or the team to grind out difficult content but still wanted to stay competitive. It’s been a lifesaver, especially for things like getting flawless in Trials or finishing off a tough raid. Now, with this restriction in place, I can’t even enjoy those aspects of the game. I’m really hoping Bungie can look into these cases where network apps interfere with Destiny 2, especially since we’re not trying to manipulate the game in any way. If anyone else has faced this issue, I’d love to hear how you dealt with it or if there’s a way to appeal these restrictions.
